Lovely apartments, very finctional and close to the beach and highstreet

I loved this small apartment complex. The decor might be a bit dated but that was not a big deal. Very functional, with a kitchen. The tarrace was great, pool view, quick access to the pool. Great location, close (500-600 metres) to the beautiful sandy beach and main strip with plenty restaurants , coctail bars and shops. Friendly staff. No air con but you can hire a fan. Free Wi-fi.

Good location

Stayed here for 10 nights, we had 2 rooms as we are a family of 5. Both rooms were basic but very clean. The beds were very comfortable. The location is perfect just a short walk all down to the main strip, only a small hill back up. Staff all friendly and helpful. Only thing that let this hotel down is the sun loungers. There’s not enough of them and they are in one position only, they are very uncomfortable. At 6.30am people were already putting towels down on beds and not even using them. A lot of the times we couldn’t get a space by the pool. On one of the days a family put towels down early in the morning and didn’t return until late afternoon.

Clean, quiet and great position

After reading the slightly mixed reviews before travelling I thought I should review our trip with a bit of detail. We have just returned from an Easter break at Plaza Azul, we had great weather and a truly great time😀. It is very true that the apartments are a little bit basic, tired and dated, they do however appear to have a fairly fresh coat of white emulsion. We found the apartments really clean and we appreciated the towel change and quick clean every couple of days. The pool area is really nice, again really clean, with a nice pool bar with a bit of music through the day, the bar is pricey compared to local bars, (which is a real shame because we would have used it a lot more) also you have to be early for a pool side sun-bed. Reception are friendly and very efficient in our experience, they are also backed by some great staff. We found the position perfect, 5 mins from beach and central of Porto del Carmen. We found it a really nice budget accommodation and well worth 4stars for the price

Rooms desperately need updating and a deep clean!

Really not sure how this is 4 star on trip advisor! I’m only reviewing the room as we didn’t use any other facilities. Room grubby, particularly paintwork and grouting. Rendering falling off the walls on the balcony. Would benefit from a deep clean but also requires updating. Bathroom was the worst, anything that was metal was Rusty, rotten wood work. (See photos) We were going to ask to change rooms but after speaking to a neighbour, they said their apartment was the same, so thought they may all be the same. Positives.. beds comfortable, staff friendly. The balcony was a sun trap in the afternoons. We booked with Jet2holidays which we normally trust but they clearly haven’t checked this hotel recently!

Week away

Good location that’s about were it ends dirty apartments cleaner comes in empty’s bin and that’s about it , floors filthy towels changed twice the week we were there, sunbeds dirty and uncomfortable that’s if you can get one, would not return
