Best staff in paxos
After an initial disappointment in being allocated a room at the back of the hotel 212 with no natural light i complained and was moved to room 306 the following day which was brilliant the hotel was under covid rules but costas and his family were really excellent working in testing conditions we found the hotel very clean pool area excellent with quality beds and furnishings, food was good breakfast was the best you could possibly expect in covid restrictions also do not believe people when they say the walk into gaios is a 10 minute stroll it is 15 mins downhill and a strenuous uphill treck back and when we were there on 4th Sept the courtesy bus was not available due to covid restrictions this did not affect our holiday which was brilliant and made a great holiday during testing times all down to costas and his family and friends thanks we will be back
Lovely poolside area but disappointing stay overall
We wanted to end our holiday on a high and so treated ourselves to a one night stay at the four star Paxos Club Resort & Spa. Whilst we couldn't fault the poolside area and the size and comfort of our room, there were a few issues which spoiled our stay: 1. The WiFi did not work in our room and on querying it, we were informed that it wasn't compatible with certain devices due to a technical incident that occurred "some time ago". The only solution given was to restart our phones / tablets which didn't work. 2. There was a large area of untreated mould by the bathroom sink. 3. No information regarding the hotel's services e.g. breakfast hours, WiFi password, telephone number for reception etc was available in the room. 4. We were only informed on arrival that the spa was closed due to COVID-19. Whilst this is perfectly understandable, we weren't notified about this when we booked and thought that this would have been reflected in the price. 5. The hot options at breakfast were all cold and espresso machine coffee wasn't included in the price. 6. The level of customer service was poor, for example on checking out, we were abruptly told that we had entered our credit card pin incorrectly and that's why the transaction had failed, when in fact the member of staff hadn't accounted for the contactless payment limit. This is not what we would expect from a 4 star hotel and left feeling quite disappointed. We would definitely return to Paxos but not stay at this hotel again unless the above was addressed.
Lovely hotel, fantastic staff
We visited last week as a last minute decision. Hotel is spotlessly clean throughout, pool area is spacious with quality furniture and comfortable sunbeds, well stocked bar and a peaceful atmosphere. The perfect place to relax. The food is delicious and the service cannot be faulted, from the cleaners, bar and reception, all staff were extremely friendly and helpful. There was nothing too much trouble for them. They are dealing with the covid issue brilliantly. He had a very relaxed and happy stay.
Last year we booked for our honeymoon that was to be this June but due to Covid we couldn’t travel (from Australia). This grubby, selfish resort took their full payment ($1626) 4 months before booking date, 2 months into COVID when international travel had ceased and refuse to honour a refund until September 2021, more than one year from now! Shameful, opportunistic behaviour. Disgusted beyond words! There is no way we would visit or recommend this horrible venue to anyone!!!!!
Lovely stay on Paxos
Stayed here the third week of September on bed and breakfast. The hotel is very nice and clean with friendly staff. The bedrooms are good and have everything you need but not luxurious. Breakfasts at best were adequate but would classify as poor - wouldn’t take much effort to make them good (ie there was cold boiled eggs, tinned fruit salad, would have loved to have fresh fruit salad each morning). We loved our week on Paxos, it is a great, friendly uncommercialised Island, and will certainly return to Paxos in the future.
