A Let Down in The End

This review is probably the most conflicted I’ve ever had to write! We were so excited to return home and leave this hotel a five star review but our last night at the hotel and experience of one member of staff in particular would not justify such a top rating. We would however like to acknowledge that for the most part our experience at this hotel was great from the friendly staff, the upgraded room and the overall Ambience. Special shout out to MARIA at reception she was Amazing and Super Helpful!! So on our last night we left the room and shut the door as you would normally do. On our return later that night we came back to our door WIDE OPEN!! We were so shocked!! We checked to see if our personal belongings were missing. We also noticed four bottles of water had been placed on top of the fridge that weren’t there before we left. We went straight to reception and explained what had happened. The staff member at reception wasn’t very helpful at all and offered an explanation that their house keeping may have brought the water to top up and accidentally left the door open. He said he would pass the information on to the manager and day staff. In the morning we were met with Areti who was the receptionist. Her whole demeanour and attitude was unhelpful and rude!! She didn’t even have the courtesy to apologise for our dreadful experience of the door being left open and just said we will check the cameras later and send you an email. She had zero people skills and did not have any sincerity about her. If that wasn’t our last day I would have made an official complaint about her behaviour. To add insult to injury she followed up with an email a few hours later saying she had checked the cameras and stated that we were the last ones to leave the room and no one else had entered which is a blatant LIE because how on earth do they explain the bottles of water getting into our room?!? They are clearly just trying to cover themselves- They’re lucky none of our personal belongings were missing! But honestly this was truly disappointing and a HUGE failing on their part not only because this should NOT have happened but in terms of how they handled the incident. It has definitely left a bad taste and put a damper on the whole experience of this hotel.

Lovely hotel with poor gym.

Beautifully designed hotel, air con not cooling to chosen temperature, no wardrobe for long dresses, room very small with a lot of noise from the road. Drinks are pricey, pool and beach area wonderful it made the stay. Located on a lovely beach, with plenty of bars/restaurants within walking distance. No iron, gym tiny and by appointment only.

Best hotel we stayed at lately.

We stayed at Nautilux Rethymno by Mage hotel for 3 nights in September. This is a brand new hotel right on the beach in Rethymno Crete. It is beautifully architected and decorated, with all modern amenities. Our room had a sea view, great balcony with Jacuzzi on it, all lights and curtains electronically controlled with a touch of a button, marble floors throughout, double sinks in the bathroom, a separate toilet room with it's own sink. The breakfast was included in the price and offered a wide selection of delicious dishes to meet anyone's taste. There are several pools on the property with very comfortable loungers with thick mattresses. The beach is meticulously maintained with lots of loungers, umbrellas and bean bags for comfortable rest. There is also a valet parking underground. The service is top notch, everybody is working hard to make guests comfortable and happy. Specials thanks to Nikita and to Lianne for their hospitality and willingness to assist in every way. This made our stay wonderful. Looking forward to come back again and stay a little longer.

Finally, a hotel worth 5 stars!

We had a beautiful time at this hotel! The rooms are clean and very modern. We got the room with the semi private pool and loved it! The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was delicious with a ton of options. It's right on the beach, so you have the option to lounge on their many beach chairs or by their large pool. There is live music some nights as well. It's incredible! They help arrange rides and excursion as well. There are shops and restaurants nearby also. I absolutely plan on returning.

Best resort and service ever!

Wow. What a great week we just had at the Nautilux Hotel. We were travelling as three friends and had a patio room with jacuzzi. Food was great and the allinclusive was really value for money. But most importantly: everyone was so friendly! Would highly recommend it!
