My wife and I arrived to a really warm welcome. The proprietor, Georgina was both helpful and informative. Once in our apartment we were immediately taken by both the size and cleanliness however, the best was yet to come. The view from the balcony is breathtaking! What's more, all apartments have the same view. The housekeeper, Doris, is on site 24/7 and is the most helpful person I have ever had the pleasure to meet. Achladies beach is a 10 minute walk, the best access is via the steps on the opposite side of the road, crossing at Achladies apartments. There are a handful of Tavernas on the beach, all worth a visit. The road down to the supermarket is quite steep however, if you spend over 20 euro, they will deliver your groceries free for you.
Fantastic stay at Villa Anastasia
A few steps up to the Villa but well worth it. Superb views. I saw some reviews before I went about Jnr Villas. All I can say is that I booked via Thomas Cook and the image on their website (the one overlooking the pool) was the one we stayed in - Villa Anastasia. Friendly staff, rooms cleaned everyday. Very helpful. 10 out of 10. Highly recommended. Lovely big balconies (we were in room number 4). As I say, stunning view. Beach straight ahead (down quite a steep path). Nice restaurants nearby, also supermarkets. 40 minute walk to Skiathos Town (paths for all but 5 mins when you get near the town but still safe to walk). Water taxi great as were buses. We also walked to Troulos (good hour and quarter no paths but still safe). Got taxi back from Troulos to Skiathos Town 10 euros so not bad at all.
Amazing time there!
If you look for paradise you have to come to this resort. We have spent here our summer holiday in July and it was absolutely perfect... Sea, beach, garden, apartment, friendly owner family...It is ideal place for children...Thank you very much Jorgina
Amazing stay, wonderful hosts!
Just came back from Skiathos where we stayed at the Big Apartment in Villa Anastasia. The view, first of all, was breathtaking and everything we wanted for our morning coffee. We were 4 adults and 2 toddlers and the terrace and direct access to the swimming pool was the best. Also, being able to cook breakfast and eat a quiet lunch on our terrace was a big plus. The beaches close by were great and perfect for children(shallow water and sand). But the best part are the hosts that made our stay incredible. We received information about places to eat, to do, to see, to rent a boat, and we felt that we could call for anything. Even for a doctor's appointment when it was necessary (holidays with toddlers). We had comfort, clean accommodation and wonderful hosts. Really hope to see you again!
Just came home from a week’s holiday in Skiathos where we stayed at Villa Anastasia in Poros. My best friend and I travelled with our girls aged 14 and 11 and were given two beautiful rooms next to each other. The specification of our rooms stated ‘partial seaview’ but we all agreed that didn’t do it justice as we had the most gorgeous seaview from our balconies! The pool area... Ah, the pool! Bring a few snacks from your room, a bottle of water and a book and you’re set for the day! Seriously, it’s perfectly situated at the front of the building so you’ve got that beautiful seaview, surrounded by greenary and palm trees and it’s got that all Mediterranean feel that you want on your vacation. The hotel staff and family are the most lovely, accommodating people you’ll ever find! We managed to forget to take the key with us on numerous occasions but Selina helped us open the door every time with a smile on her face. We also had the brilliant idea of making pancakes to bring to the beach the next day and managed to set off the firealarm a total of three times. 😬 (Tip of the day; use real margarine made for cooking!) Hotel management were there in a shot to make sure everything was ok which felt assuring. The cleaning of your room (we were actually surprised there even was one as that hasn’t been the case at other places similiar to this we’ve stayed at before) is immaculate. The hotel is situated on a pretty steep hill but we didn’t find that to be a problem. In fact, it will tone up your backside in two days flat and give you the stamina of a thriathlon sportsman! Should you find it a pain to carry your shopping up the hill, the last supermarket on the right down the tiny village centre will happily drive your shopping bags up for you and place them outside your door, free of charge. The hotel is situated at the middle of the bus route, at number 17. The bus stops literally right outside and is a cheap, punctual and exciting way to travel around to the places you need to go. Sometimes the bus is full and will simply drive past your stop without stopping but there’s another one coming in maximum 20 minutes so we didn’t find this to be a problem. Just down the hill from the hotel, to the left, you will find Agia Paraskevi, which is a long sandy beach where you easily can find a spot to call your own. This became our favourite beach as it’s quiet and peaceful. We were so pleased with our stay we vowed to go back as soon as possible!
