Great hotel 🤩
Our third time here, first as an Al inclusive. We love this hotel, don’t expect lots of restaurants and bars, just the one by the pool, good service, nice food (a little repetitive). Good snacks between meals and all day Ice cream. Rooms nice, lovely sea view. Hotel is perfectly situated by the beach, lots of restaurants and bars within walking distance. Sports bar right next door. Perfect for a relaxing week away. Booked a private boat trip through hotel which was amazing.

Perfect hotel
the hotel was excellent in everything. it is located in the most beautiful part of Zakynthos. we had a perfect view, the sea was right in front of the hotel. our room was very clean, the environment very friendly, the staff was willing and our service was immediate. The food was different every day with beautiful Greek flavors. A wide variety of appetizers as well as hot food. It has a special buffet for children and a large variety of sweets. I recommend it and it is understood that we will go again. See you soon
Lovely short trip
Me and my husband have just returned from a 5 day getaway. Just a little before the season started so can’t comment about evening entertainment but the poolside/loungers was plentiful whilst we were there. Food was decent, never struggled to find anything to eat even if it was just salad. I’m not a snack kind of person so not sure what, if anything was on offer throughout the day but there is a freezer with various ice cream flavours available. The drinks, pints of local beer come on draught, in pint size plastic cups. Wine, in a machine with white, rose and red - not for me I’m afraid. Juices available but again, in a machine so not fresh orange/apple etc. Rooms are clean and large although basic (see pics) We paid extra for a guaranteed unobstructed sea view but you’d be unlucky to not get a sea view as all rooms balconies are pretty much facing the sea due to the U shaped structure but there are obstructions in front of some. Pool, not huge and there were those who felt the need to reserve beds despite it being out of season. On the beach so best of both worlds and right next door to Alykanas village so ideal if you have little ones as they have a splash park. Fab little family friendly bar outside of the hotel ‘dilemma’ should you get bored also a little supermarket which is cheaper than the onsite one. Not far from the actual town. Walk round the back of the hotel (right hand side), take the dirt track to the right, walk along the river, cross the bridge and you’ll be in the actual town not just the little strip you see on the way in. The town has lots of bars, restaurants and shops. Try Paradioskio but book in season as this place gets extremely busy. All in all, a lovely 5 days away and would visit again
As suggested by numerous reviews - NOT 4 star
In all honesty, I’m not too sure where to start with this hotel. I really wanted to love it but I just didn’t, and to echo many of the other recent reviews I’m not sure it should be claiming a 4 star status. We stayed here for 3 nights, and maybe our downfall was coming from a beautiful HB hotel in Kalamaki, the Marelen, so maybe my expectations were too high. Positives about the hotel - The room was a decent size. We had a great corner balcony with a lovely view of the sea and down the coast. Hotel has a cracking location right on the beach, definitely it’s number 1 selling point. Also only 5 minute walk to main restaurants and bars. Plenty of tables and chairs at meal times - some outside also, which is great as I hate feeling cooped up inside. Plenty of parking space also if you have a car. Decent sunloungers and plenty of them. (Although when it rained, no one bothered to bring all the cushions in, therefore they were wet the whole day after). Now for the less positive points - As mentioned by most, bathrooms are old and dated. Shower temperamental. Not a wet room yet an open side with no door? Bathroom door didn’t close properly. Handle going rusty. Not 4 star. Hotel tries to charge for every little thing. Towels. Air con. Safe. Everything our previous hotel did not charge for. Kettle in the room, but if you want tea or coffee, you have to get them yourself from the buffet, they don’t provide them in the room?! The room we booked stated it had a large double bed and a single. We arrived in the room to find two single beds. Might not have been as much of an issue if they have been put together and made into a double but they both had single bedding on. We spoke to reception and they said they would put a double mattress over the top. This did happen and quite quickly, we arrived back in the room later to find a thick mattress topper had been put over the two singles. However the sheets were barely big enough to cover us both, and it was uncomfortable. We also realised when we were getting in bed at night, the mattress topper was damp and had a funny smell!!!! Maybe it had been stored somewhere as it had rained for a couple of days beforehand? I’m not sure, but again, not 4 star. Bedroom doors all look like front doors you would get in the UK, they have a window at the top therefore light shines in at night?! Coffee machines - this hotel has FOUR. Yet on several occasions, none of them were working or were out of milk, etc etc. Food was nice enough, your standard AI stuff. Just don’t expect anyone making omelettes to order at breakfast like you might get in other AI hotels… And again for a 4 star hotel there no proper bar or lounge area?!! The only place to sit and have a drink is the room you eat your meals in! Apparently there were some entertainment on 3 or 4 nights a week but we did not hang around in the evening to see this. Booking.com says it has two swimming pools, this is not true, unless you are counting the tiny kids pool. Also states darts, billiards, board games etc, again not true. Music pretty loud by the pool There is a spa, but expensive to use it, and they advertise a Jacuzzi which no longer exists… To be honest, it is lots of small things that let this hotel down, small things that could be improved and make a big difference to your stay and prevent people leaving underwhelmed. Money seems to have been invested in fancy tech lighting/touchscreen pads etc but not on getting basics right? We stayed in an Airbnb on our third and final night. Partly because we found a good deal and partly because we didn’t want to endure the damp mattress protector again and we couldn’t be bothered with the faff off asking for it to be changed again for just one more night!!!
