Amazing.
Had the most amazing time in October, hotel was absolutely spotless. Breakfast was very good, i have no complaints at all. Our room was really nice, not big but essential for the very little time spent in there. The hotel is centrally located, you could ask for a better location. Trainers for walking are a must, if you take the bus to other resorts, take flip flops with you. no need to hire a car, buses are really cheap and on time. Dont listern to some awkward reviews, as i said, couldnt fault it. This holiday depends on what you want, if you want to sit all day drinking, it will cost you. We personally went without nothing, buses, drink, food etc, never broke my bank and we had some amazing meals.
Perfect Location For Santorini Visit
After 40 years of waiting we made it to Santorini. Our travel agent suggested this hotel for our 1 day/ overnight visit. Nikko greeted us and we were able to check in early and nab breakfast before starting our adventures for the day. Our room was large, clean and had a view of the non caldera side which was beautiful. After breakfast we explained to Nikko what we wanted to accomplish and he provided some options for us. He also made a dinner reservation for us. Armed with our map off we went. The location was perfect! Centrally located, close to restaurants, right across the street from the Three Bells of Fira and a magnificent sunset view. The breakfast buffet had something for everyone and was fresh and the coffee was good! There was an option to sit outside or inside. The area is not over ridden with tourists like Oia and the views are perfect. Not one complaint. Many thanks to Nikko for making our 24 hours in Santorini perfect!
Autumn Holiday
We arrived at the hotel almost midnight. The male receptionist pleasantly welcome us and courtiously take us to our room. The room was good size and clean, they do clean and change everything everyday .Waking up in the morning was a surprise especially when we ask where is the famous blue dome and three bells which is just in front of the hotel. The view was spectacular i been to some places but this is one of my top one.Location of the hotel is strategic less than hour walk on picturesque walk path takes you to center of Fira or Thira or moving north take you to another town called lmerovigli.Using the local bus is a big help to move around the island,in 1.60euro you can go in different town.Oia is a pricey place the rest of other town is ok.The hotel had a decent size pool,l enjoy swim on it even at this time of the year.Breakfast included on the hotel, one is missing they dont have brownsauce but manage to live with it.End of October when we stayed here for a week and should i say this is one of my holiday i enjoyed alot specially on spectacular views and foods to offer in this island surely coming back again. Many thanks to the hotel staff like Nico and Petra who we keep asking for suggestion and direction while we stayed here.
A disappointing hotel
Room was a cave, it had no natural light. Just a small windows by that looked out onto the hallway. The room was clean. However it felt like the inside of a shipping container that had been painted white. The elevator only reached down 3 flights of stairs. We had three more flights of stairs we had to carry our own luggage. The porter only took us down the elevator and then pointed down two flights of stairs and said, “Down those and then to the left.” And then took off. Others in our party, who paid the same, had much nicer rooms and didn’t have to carry their bags up multiple flights of stairs Be sure to ask for a room with a view and where you can roll your suitcase with elevator access.
Perfect base for holidays to stunning Santorini
Perfect location a couple of minutes walk from the breathtakingly beautiful caldera, close to vibrant Fira & opposite the three bells. Magical sunsets & lovely sunrise also in the superior rooms. The hotel is clean & well maintained. It has contemporary decor in keeping with the island. Staff are friendly & very helpful. Superior rooms have good views, a nice full length mirror, comfy bed & chair, good storage & a spacious bathroom. Breakfast has outdoor dining with stunning views, friendly service, excellent coffee (a must for me) & ok food. There are an array of places to eat & drink along the caldera with the most magical views. Fira is a lovely walk & offers an amazing local bus service taking you to Oia & many other places on the island. I did the hike into Oia which was very rewarding but the bus service is extremely cheap & so easy to use. Santorini offers much to see & do, more suitable for adults than children & young families. The caldera is next level & the views are something else! The many churches & beautiful silvery blue sea are so beautiful to look at, & the light on the island is just mesmerising. For me firostfani was a perfect base as it is beautiful but quieter than busier Fira & Oia which are very accessible from here so you get the best of both. I will definitely stay at the Santorini Palace when I return & I am glad i chose this hotel as my base for my first trip to the beautiful island of Santorini.
