Not the best

We stayed at the Pepita for a week, the reception staff were excellent and very friendly, the hotel room was fine with everything you need for a self catering holiday. However the pool/sunbathing area are where the issues lie, the photographs of the pool area are at least 10 years out of date and do not show the ugly gated black fence that surrounds the pool that is locked overnight preventing any swimming before 11AM although this was changed to 10 AM a day before we left. The pool area generally dirty with missing tiles in the pool, half the sunbeds were broken and if you did manage to get a bed it would cost you €2 per bed per day. On the whole there were good points and bad but generally not the best.

Well equipped apartment

Very well equipped apartment in central area. Has everything you need for pleasant stay. Beds comfortable. Housekeeping very good, air-con worked perfect. No hairdryer but I asked at reception, they happily gave me one. Lots of bars and restaurants. Location in centre, Lovely large pool, not too cold. Poolside bar has reasonable priced food and drink. The only criticism I had was the inside, sides of the pool looked dirty, in need of a good clean.

Summer 2023

Had a wonderful weeks holiday here in August . Facilities in room were good.Had to pay for WiFi & safe,had refund when returning safe key. Room was cleaned x 3 when we were here & all staff very friendly & helpful. Pool area was clean,charge of €2 each for sunbeds daily,plenty of them.Small poolside bar area adequate. Apartments easy 5 min walk to beach/marina area😀

READ BEFORE STAY!

Recently returned after a 10 day trip, before I start, I personally really enjoyed my stay at this hotel, it’s far from perfect but enjoyable! The pros of this hotel are lists long but to name a few, it’s spotlessly clean, extremely comfortable, very friendly staff and a perfect location. Surrounded by bars and restaurants, thriving atmosphere all night long, no trouble, beach 6 minutes away and a beautiful marina at just a 4 minute walk to the left of the hotel, cleaners will clean everything everyday if you request it, and they do it thoroughly! Now for the negatives, the balcony door never actually locked, it could be pulled open from the outside with minimal force, even though the room was booked for 3 people only 2 chairs were made available for seating on the veranda, the sun beds are charged daily at €2 which is too expensive for 10 day stay, now for the worst part of the stay, the pool, extremely dirty around the edges with mould and limescale very prominent, one of the 2 alternating shift lifeguards is very strict, no games, just swimming! Apart from these troubles we had a very enjoyable stay, very warm and with free included air con we were kept very cool! Good hotel just need to tweak these issues!

Fantastic Location

Just come back after 10 days & couldn't fault the apartments, all of the reception staff were extremely helpful & pleasant, we were allocated a 4th floor room, however as we are no good with heights we asked if there were any rooms on a lower floor, immediately we were given a 1st floor room with a 20ft balcony overlooking the pool, the room was large & had everything you would need for self catering, cleaners come in every day if you request (put your "clean my room" on the outside of the door, air conditioning is included, we have always payed elsewhere in the past, the only thing I would complain about was the pool walls were really dirty on the inside & sun loungers are charged at 2 euro per person per day, a bit steep we thought, the location is absolutely fantastic, 5 mins walk to the beautiful marina & seafront restaurants, on the doorstep for buses, cafes, bars (great Irish bar 3 mins walk to the left of the main street) all in all a brilliant holiday, would highly recommend.
