Mogan Solaz modern apartments

We stayed in a one bedroom apartment which was clean and modern. We loved the fact we were located in the beautiful grounds of the Mogan Playa Hotel. The swimming pools were lovely and warm. The hotel reception gave us a very welcoming greeting but when we checked out we were not asked if we had enjoyed our stay. I had assumed we would have been asked to complete a guest satisfaction form of some kind. I really enjoyed the whole ambience of the apartments and the hotel but I found breakfast to be very frustrating. The food was quite good but the plates were cold. You sometimes could not find a set table or get anyone to bring you coffee. The restaurant staff were run off their feet and I observed for most of the week the managers just stood and greeted the guests. That's great if they have enough people but they don't. They should have been helping the waiting staff, which they did on two days towards the end of our stay.I found myself irritated and annoyed ,frequently eating most of my hot breakfast (on a cold plate) by the time the coffee arrived. It must be soul destroying for the waiting staff as it is not their fault that guests like me becoming irritated. Breakfast was include and we didn't have the choice not to pay it. We really liked the Mogan Solaz and the hotel but they need more staff in the breakfast restaurant. Ian & Elaine Thompson

Vacation experience with hotel facilities

We have stayed at the Cordial Mogan Playa many times. This year we tried the Cordial Solaz. We were not disappointed. The rooms were beautifully appointed and balcony was sunny and spacious. With just a few steps across a minor road and through a gate, we were back in the grounds of the hotel. We enjoyed the use of the hotel and spa with this super vacation accommodation. Service was excellent from housekeeping, reception, restaurant and maintenance. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Peaceful and relaxing

Just returned from at 14 days stay at Solaz (apt 106 - with 2 bedrooms). I have been to the Cordial Mogan Playa Hotel three times before, and just love the garden - and the peace and quiet. The Solaz building our apt was in, was within the hotel grounds (the other building is across the street). It seemed new and modern, and it was very peaceful. It was great to have a safe parking garage for the rental car. We only had B&B, but enjoyed the breakfasts. There are a lot of choices. (If I only could suggest minor one thing, it is to lower the backgroundmusic, which forced us to eat in one of the outside areas where it is more peaceful). We had lunch in the apartment every day, which was perfect with both fridge/freezer, dishwasher and good kitchen equipment. For a 14 days stay it was also perfect to have a washer/dryer. The people working at Cordial is very friendly and serviceminded. I will especially mention our housekeeper Aroa V. which was very thorough, hardworking and who really makes an effort to make her guests satisfied. The only minus I will mention, is that with the high prize we pay for staying there, the cost for using the safe should be included. I knew this in beforehand due to my previous stays (it is the same in the hotel), so it was no surprice for me. We also had a minor problem with the AC (the apt got rather cold when using AC, with temperatur dropping below wanted/set temp), but we ajusted our use of the AC to that issue.

The perfect holiday!

Where to start! Having previously stayed at main hotel the Cordial Mogan Playa nearly ten years earlier and remembering how beautiful it was, I decided to book again for a family holiday with my partner and 7 year old daughter, it was then that I stumbled across the new Cordial Mogan Solaz adjoining the main hotel. We couldn’t have chosen any better. We stayed in Solaz 301, a stunning one bedroom superior self-catering apartment with a private roof terrace with hot tub. I’m the kind of guy that spends literally hours doing research before I book any holiday, we both work hard and needed to be sure that this was the place for us, we needn’t have worried. Upon arrival we were greeted with a friendly warm welcome at the main hotel reception in the Cordial Mogan Playa and given a handy little map that showed us how to drive around to the Solaz apartments. We had hired a car from the airport for the 12 days but if you arrived by taxi or coach then you could quite simply walk through the main hotel to the apartments. Having reached the apartments we parked up in the private and secure underground car park, this is simply accessed by using your keycard. From here we used the lift immediately next to the car park up to the third and top floor. You do have the option of using the 37 steps up, but with suitcases it’s a bit of a hike! However we used the steps most other days which helped burn off a few calories. Upon entering the apartment we were very pleasantly surprised on how modern and clean it was, in fact it was stunning. The kitchen area included a large fridge freezer, compact dishwasher, electric hobs and a very useful washing machine! Along with the usual kettle, toaster and pots pans and utensils. Nothing had been forgotten about. The lounge area had a very comfortable sofa bed which our daughter loved and a large flat screen tv mounted to the wall. We were only able to find a couple of English speaking channels (sky news and channel 4) but who goes on holiday to watch tv? The bathroom had a large walk in shower and I believe 301 has the added benefit of a window which could be fully opened to allow the steam out. The bathroom overall was very clean and equally modern. The main bedroom like the lounge area looks out onto the balcony and has its own patio doors like the lounge. Again another tv on the wall that swings around so you can watch it in bed if that’s your thing. A small double wardroom and safe were also available. Again this room was impeccably clean. The air conditioning was so quiet and we were able to adjust the temperature in both the main living area and the bedroom, ensuring a great nights sleep. Leaving the apartment by the front door there was a spiral staircase outside the that took you up to the private room terrace where we found a beautiful space and a real sun trap! Here you’ll find three sun loungers a large hot tub and an outdoor shower. The views from both the balcony and the roof terrace were spectacular, looking ahead toward the main hotel and hill and to the left you looked down to the harbour and sea. The sun hits both areas from mid morning until sunset, so you really do get your vitamin D! We paid extra for half board, initially we decided just to go just b&b but for the proportionally small extra cost it seemed like a no brainier. To be honest we didn’t really use the kitchen in the apartment to cook, the fridge freezer was useful as was the washing machine but most nights we ate out at one of the amazing choices of restaurants or had dinner at the main hotel. Whether it was breakfast or dinner at the hotel, it was fantastic. The breakfast was my personal favourite, a great choice of hot and cold food and a cheeky little glass of Prosecco to wash it down, or two glasses if you wish! Beautifully cooked food and if running low was always restocked very quickly. The same goes for dinner, plenty of choice and delicious. Although we did notice that it did get a little bit repetitive during our 12 night stay. But still outstanding. A big thank you to all the staff here. Everyone is so friendly. Special note to Eida our housekeeper, very attentive and friendly. Alex who provided the tours throughout the main hotel and grounds, Andre the lifeguard who gave advice and tips for our daughter on her swimming, Gianfranco in the restaurant, a funny guy! But especially Kevin, he also works in the restaurant both at breakfast and dinner. Our daughter couldn’t wait to see him everyday. Very friendly and a real asset and credit to the hotel as were all the staff. Well done Cordial! We have already booked again for next year and can’t wait to come back, a truly exceptional place. Summer relaxation

Quality two floor apartment with all new fittings and its own solarium level. Hot tub was great. The staff were great and will definitely return. This gives you the benefit of larger quality accommodation and the facilities of the hotel.
