Vi havde en dejlig ferie her. Det er godt nok flere år siden. Men vi blev godt forkælet, og personalet var så søde til at tage sig af vores dengang 3-årige dreng. Hotellet ligger lidt uden for byen.
Just returned from Windmill Bay hotel after a lovely week trip with my mum, we were originally ment to go to Xenos Kamara hotel but was closed and we were sent to Windmill Bay instead, we’ll lucky us as this place is amazing, you walk in to reception and the first thing you see is a amazing view of the poolside and the blue sea, were were given room 311 which was perfect, it had a separate bedroom twin bedroom and the living room had a single bed and a sofa bed, a small separate kitchen, the room really double up as a bedroom for us as we spent all our time on the double balcony, amazing views once again, some rooms have a concrete balcony which although fab views you would have to stand up to see, the staff were amazing. The pool was lovely always kept clean, as mentioned on other reviews it’s a bit annoying when people get up at silly ocklock to bag the best Sun beds still only a small grumble. A couple of steps takes you down to a beautiful warm sea, it’s like your own little area, we never found it pebbly and the water is so shallow, wonderful! The receptionist was so helpful, the bar staff work so hard and were so friendly, the cleaners were exceptional, always smiling, they work so hard too, the whole place is immaculate, a small stroll about 10 mins if that takes you in to town, nice restaurants, well priced, so overall I would highly recommend this hotel, it’s perfect for lazy days we’re you can chill by the pool and sea, the food was fab and well priced, it’s a must.
Overall - great holiday
We have had many visits to Zante but this was our first to Argassi. The hotel itself was nice, you're immediately greeted with a stunning view of the pool and turquoise sea behind it as you enter reception to check in - probably one of the nicest I have seen yet! Similarly, the view over our balcony was also beautiful; it was a double balcony which overlooked the pool, sea and across to Zante town. We stayed on the top floor and I can definitely recommend this! Our room was clean, we were offered options as to how often we would like it cleaning, which was good and the woman was always polite, happy and conversational with my children. My only comment re the room would be to have a few more kitchen utensils, for us it wasn't a problem as we didn't cook but for others it may be. Also, an extra pillow would have been good! There was only one firm pillow per bed and wasn't the most comfortable, for me, for this reason. Food around the pool bar was good, reasonably priced; however, we did not eat in the restaurant so cannot comment on this, but have heard from other guests that it was delicious. A negative for us was the sun bed situation around the pool. One of our daughters is an early riser - when waking at 6am the majority of beds were taken, only 3/4 left to chose from. This was the same situation at 4am when my husband went on the balcony after one of our children woke us up. I can only presume that some other guests were reserving beds with their towels prior to going too bed themselves, leaving others with limited choice. This was very frustrating, even more so when some didn't turn up until lunch time or early afternoon. This could be addressed by management, and rules put in place that towels can be put down at 8am with the swimming pool opening at 9am. Some other guests were quite lazy, leaving bottles/glasses/plates with half eaten food next to sun beds - cue an army of ants, not to mention it is quite dangerous for children who are playing nearby! I believe the management spoke to the families about this after a few days to a week, though, which was good but could have happened sooner. Unfortunately, my daughter had an accident on this holiday which she needed medical attention for - no staff attended to see if she was ok, asked what happened and nobody offered a first aid kit. I wanted to take her to see a doctor, and requested a taxi for this from the receptionist, explaining what had happened. I found that the doctors, pharmacy and urgent care were all closed and should have been made aware of this by staff, prior to taking my daughter to those 3 different locations - this was really frustrating. Whilst I appreciate accidents do happen, I feel that the staff could have been more concerned and attentive in relation to the accident. Overall, it was a good and much needed holiday. However, I do feel there is room for improvement.
Windmill Bay - our little bit of paradise !
Our second visit to Windmill Bay and 9th in total to Zante. Second visit didn't disappoint. We knew things would be a bit different due to Covid restrictions, but the hotel did everything to make you feel at ease. Our room was 208 second floor, very clean and spacious for family of 4 (two kids 13 & 16). Large double balcony with view of pool and over to Zante town. We used the snack bar lots for breakfast and lunch, great food and reasonably priced. Poor Anna could do with a bit of help though, she was very busy ! Only thing that was a negative on last year was the sunbed situation, never had a problem last year with reserving beds, this year was a pain - probably due to less beds due to restrictions. But you always get some selfish individuals who get up at the crack of dawn to reserve, and don't come and use them until mid afternoon. Rude !! But other than that another fantastic holiday, apartments are great, staff are fab, all being well we will be back next year !!
Spent 2 wks at this lovely Aparthotel. The hotel itself was lovely, clean, modern, friendly staff. The rooms were spacious with a double balcony that overlooked the sea, from our room you could see Zante Town. Rooms were cleaned on a daily basis, with fresh towels and linen. Kitchen could have done with a few more utensils, only one sharp knife and that was a bread knife. £120 for air con for 2wks which was needed. even though our room didn't get any sun on it at all. Location is just out of the main area but can be walked in around 10mins but in the heat it was too far in the daytime. Would i stay here again??? Possibly not, if you could move the hotel a bit closer it would be perfect, If you plan to stay here then take an alarm clock, you will need to be up anytime from 4am to secure a sun bed! Whether this is the norm of whether it is because there are fewer beds due to social distancing i dont know. I did find that the fellow guests were not very friendly, you struggled to get a good morning out of the majority. One thing that did spoil it for me was other guests, 2 separate families thought it was acceptable to let their young ones run around butt naked and piddle all over the place, even when they were either right outside their apartment or right beside the toilet!! There was just no need at all
