This was a very nice hotel. The room was a decent size with a fridge and a good sized bathroom with a proper shower cubicle which meant I didn’t flood the bathroom when I had a shower! Towels were changed regularly and the room cleaned daily (although the maids did start a bit on the early side). There was a nice spread at breakfast - including cereals, breads, cold meats and cheese, Greek yogurt and honey - along with local delicacies such as spinach and feta parcels, eggy bread, omelettes and pizza slices! The swimming pool looked nice although I didn’t use it as It wasn’t open until 10:00am and I was usually well on my way by then. Reception staff were always very polite and helpful. The hotel was well located - next door to a large a”Spar” supermarket On the other side of the road to the right was an open air cinema and more or less next to that was the “Naxos Grill” where I had a reasonably priced meal on my first evening. If you follow the road on from the “Naxos Grill” for about 15 mins you will come to the Old Town, and subsequently to the port - both with plenty of bars and restaurants. While you’re in the port you can visit the castle and Apollo’s (unfinished) Temple - both of which offer spectacular views. On the other side of the road and to the left of the hotel will bring you to St George’s Beach - look out for the “Flisvos” sign and within 10 minutes you will come to the beach - where again there is a good selection of restaurants.
Good budget Hotel
I was apprehensive about staying at this hotel because of previous reviews but I was pleasantly surprised. The staff are multi lingual and very helpful. We had a studio which was clean and spacious yes the furniture was a bit tired but it was functional and its only for 2 weeks!! I loved the layout of the hotel and found there was very little transfer of noise between rooms. The pool is large so you can swim properly in it. I also found the pool area clean and was always able to get a sun bed with brolly. My husband had breakfast every day and all though he said it was a bit samey he said there was plenty of it and often he brought me yogurt and honey or a cheese pie both of which were lovely. We also ate from the snack menu one lunch time and found our Greek salad and ham and cheese omelette very nice. The cleaner came every day and apart from cleaning made the bed - even though that is only one sheet (which is the norm for Greece) she changed the towels every day (which we don't like as its a waste but I know people complain if they don't-so I suppose they have too) and sheets every 3rd day. We both like to walk so we found this hotel to be an ideal base. This is probably why we found the walk to the beach and the town no problem at all. The beach is no more than 5 minutes if you go across the road to your left and down the first road, you can join the boardwalk here and wander into town or if you go right out of the hotel and first left its about 10 minutes to the main square. There is road noise as the hotel is on the road to 3 popular beaches and the airport. As a very light sleeper though, I didn't get disturb during the night as the traffic is very light through out the night. So if you are booked in here you will be fine-its what you make it and having too higher expectation from a 3* Greek hotel is not fair on the hotel.
A disgrace of a hotel
Very basic hotel on a very busy noisy road. Stayed here for seven nights in August as part of a twin holiday booking. We had a ground floor room overlooking the pool shown in the photos which had no water in and was full of rubbish! The room was next to the main road which was always noisy and busy, sometimes difficult to cross. We only had one sheet on the bed and the wardrobe was positioned outside of the bathroom door slightly blocking the entrance. The breakfast was inedible! My husband and I are not fussy eaters but couldn’t eat anything there. It consisted of tinned fruit, yogurt cheap spam, cheese , crisps,Melba toast and sliced baggers, crisps! There was no sliced bread to toast and cheap margarine. Thank goodness for the super market next door. It was supposed to be next to the beach but it was at least a ten minute walk away or a bus ride into town. We tried to move but had no joy from the holiday company. Wi if was difficult to connect to and sometimes only available from reception area buildings. We did complain to the holiday company and told this is Greek standard even though we have been to many Greek islands before!
Great brekkie here, and a large spacious room!
Recently stayed 3 nites at this hotel as part of a tour group.Including leader, 14 in total. I found the hotel to be a little better than average....I did not like all the steps to be room, and found the grounds a bit confusing.....I did like the bountiful breakfast, and my spacious room, and liked the patio that overlooked farmland.....Was in a very quiet spot, and enjoyed the wifi and AC in the room. A little walk to town, but near to Open Air Theatre, and the beautiful St. George's Beach...................Found those at reception very lovely.....A small book exchange in the lobby, and an overall peaceful atmosphere......I would not say no to staying here again......
Well situated for both the beach and the town
A nice friendly typically Greek hotel Katerina and her staff are always willing to offer local recommendations and advice The extensive breakfast selection can be taken either in the dining room or outside around the swimming pool.
