A wonderful getaway

I had two weeks away in Lemnos Village resort returning to the UK on the 8th of September. My interest is in sailing and this holiday ticked all my boxes. this was my second visit to Lemnos Village resort and it met all my expectations, great food and stunning sunsets. While on Lemnos I visited the Archaeology Museum in Myrina, Great for me as was a student of archaeology, might not be everyone's cup of tea. All in all this was the holiday I needed

Lovely holiday

We stayed for two weeks and had a great holiday. The rooms aren't luxurious but they're clean and comfy and I believe they all have balconies with sea views. The food is good if unexceptional and there is huge variety and quantities at the breakfast and dinner buffet. A good range of watersports equipment is available but again, don't expect it to be elite standard. Beach flags are cautious. Car hire very easy from the desk. The staff are fantastic. Overall, very good value.

Great time

Just back from Lemnos Village resort. We Had a really enjoyable and much needed ‘chill’. The weather was very windy for second half of week, but generally lovely. Room was a bit tired, but very comfortable with great views. Staff were so friendly, food was good (although hot food at dinner was not kept as hot as I would like). The sunsets are beautiful, Myrina is lovely and only 20 mins walk away.

Mark Warner - going the extra mile to look after its guests

Visited the Mark Warner resort in August 2022 with my family. This is my third family visit and as usual everything was excellent. This review is about what happened when the unexpected happened and I had a biking accident. After coming off my bike (100% my fault) during a ride I cut and twisted my knee badly. At the scene, the MW cycling leader, Kat, did a great job in ensuring I had access to immediate first aid and ensured I was well looked after. Back at the hotel, the superb manager, George, insisted that I go to hospital and organised transport. All of this what I had come to expect from George and the Mark Warner team. They are utterly professional and caring and prove it again and again when there is a problem. On arrival at the Limnos Hospital I was ushered into A&E, cleaned up, X-rayed, examined by 3 doctors and sent on my way with a treatment plan, prescription and follow up appointment - all within 45 minutes on a busy Friday night. I was astonished. I don’t believe there is an A&E department in the whole of the UK where I would have had such rapid and effective treatment. So, in summary, Mark Warner in Lemnos is great, as usual. But the real eye-opener is what happens when things go bad. It’s a real comfort to know that when the worst happens you will be properly looked after. Many thanks George, the MW team and the excellent Limnos Hospital.

Very good holiday

Lovely location, great hotel + MW staff and rooms are perfectly adequate. Empty fridge and kettle provided. There are a lot of steps so if these are a challenge then check with MW before booking. Only negatives are the number and selection of dinghies which is a bit limited. A few more Lasers or other single handers + double handers are required. Also, the dining room although very nice with wonderful view could get noisy with toddlers / young children at lunch and early evening. It might sound a bit naff but could there be a separate family section ? Gatwick flights were fine but a Heathrow flight would be a real bonus.
