At det ikke var så stort og overskueligt. Venlige og imøde komme tjenere.

Dejligt hvis man kunne bestille bord ,så det ikke var besværligt for tjenerne og de blev overrasket over der skulle være plads til 7 personer. Ved ankomst og afrejse meget dårligt med buspladsen og af og pålæsning af kufferter. Især hjemrejsen vidste receptionen ikke hvor bussen ville holde.

Looks can be deceiving

Sorry for the delay in writing this.We normally go to Cyprus at this time of year, but thought Crete may be an easier option this year. This hotel gives our favourites in Cyprus a run for their money. There aren't many negatives here, but we did stay in the Superior rooms and would advice everyone to do that if possible. The entrance to this 4 star was quite a disappointment. Dark, old fashioned and tucked down a side street, not impressive and not what we expected, but the rest of the hotel, staff, rooms, service, made up for the initial impression.The hygene standards are excellent.Cases are left outside the hotel to be sanitised before they are taken to your room, welcome was warm and genuine and check in was speedy. We were ushered into the dining room, and were provided with full evening meal, even though it was 9.30pm. .All the info' about hotel, Spa and mealtimes was given, so we settled in right away. The rooms are spotless, with plenty of wardrobe and shelf space and the balcony was plenty big enough.Due to Covid, the cleaners are not allowed into the rooms for 48 hours, but will leave extra pillows, towels, hanger etc, etc, outside your room in sealed bags. After that they come in every day and do a thorough job. Pool towels are provided in the Spa for a refundable deposit and can be changed every day. The pool is open from 10.00a till 6.00pm in September.You may think that this should be longer, but in the morning they do a thorough job of scrubbing sunbeds and the whole pool area. Or should I say, try to do this, but despite knowing this there were still the usual sun bed savers, despite the notes on every sunshade saying this was forbidden.What is it all about?? there were plenty of loungers and no proper sun on the pool area 'til 10am. The sun moves off the pool area around 5.30pm, but there is a lovely beach just 2 minutes from the pool, were there's sun all day.One rather annoying factor was the guy who moved the sunbeds into position at the end of the day.He was far to keen and would start dragging them around far sooner than 6.00 pm, 4.00 pm is far too early to be tidying up. The restaurant was super clean and quite efficient under the strict covid rules. Tablecloths changed for each diner and cutlery in sealed bags, but please get some decent ply paper napkins. The breakfast was good, but the ordering system could have been simpler. The evening meal was a bit hit & miss, as some meals were good 1 week, but not the next and the food was not always hot.I also struggled with the choice on some nights, as I am allergic to fish. They did find somethingf or me as best they could though.The waiters and waitresses worked very hard and were always friendly, especially the male head waiter and Isy [or Esy], who provided me with a constant supply of smoothies and coffee in the morning. the only thing I would suggest is that the chef creates a 2 week menu, as w were there for 27 night and the menu was gettig rather boring inthe evening.A bed and breakfast option would be a great idea and would, I think, bring in a lof of clients. Lastly I would like to thank the Reception staff, who were so helpful and informative throughout the whole holiday. no request was too much trouble. the little gift in the room was also a lovely touch, thank you. Perfect location, near the beach, near, but not too close to the centre, quiet, comfortable,friendly.Yes, we must return!!

Disappointed

We ordered room in hotel that should be spa and resort and this hotel is not both. If you want spa then you need to go out of the hotel. The spa is one minute walk from the hotel. We put the sign to clean and setup the room and they only empty the bins. There is no wifi in the rooms. Only in the lobby. If you want wifi in the room you will have to pay 3 euro .

Greek hospitality

Nice bright rooms quiet location Nice breakfast service A choice of cretan breakfast with local cheese sweets and delicacies. Dinner had 5 courses and was served with a smile Cocktails in reasonable prices I had a massage with Maria at the hotel spa which was amazing

Couldn’t do enough for me.

Lovely hotel, mostly all modern. I was in the older building but still very nice , large room balcony view of the sea and pool. Pool had plenty of beds and umbrellas and lounging whisker big seats. 3 pools, 1 had decking around with day beds. Champagne deck. Aqua Zumba Monday and Friday was excellent. 3 nights entertainment with singers. Food excellent. Served a la carte style , massive choice of food all of good quality. Restaurant staff very attentive, couldn’t do enough. Nico was head waiter and very good at his job. Looked after me as on my own. Restaurant manager really took time to seat you and greet you. Hotel manager thanked me for my Instagram and facebook posts and gave me a glass of wine and a dish of fruit. Felt like a vip.Olive oil toiletries were lovely. Good location next to the beach. Own shop where I got 4 dresses in a sale. . Very friendly staff. They also printed my boarding pass and plf form. All safety measures in place felt very secure. Marie👍

First trip to Crete

Myself and husband stayed at the Albatros spa & hotel from 23rd of Aug until the 6th of September and was super impressed with this hotel, we had to get our room updated as the one we were first allocated was on the small side and had mentioned at the time we would like a sea view and thats what we got. The staff are very helpful and friendly and always wanting to go the extra mile to help you especially Julie and her team from the restaurant who were excellent and very hard working, also Vladimir from the poolside bar who was a most pleasant young man. The food was lovely and what a choice we were given, the hotel rooms/ hotel was immaculate very clean indeed and location was great too. As myself and husband are normally Cyprus visitors i can’t highly recommend this hotel enough and we will certainly return to the Albatros.
