Absolute Best Hotel in Kos

Earliest photos of me here are from 1997 and all the way forward to 2023 I'm still coming! Absolutely fantastic hotel in all aspects of the place itself, the staff especially, the food, facilities and entertainment. Honestly can't praise it enough. Definately back in October this year and definately in May 2024. Thank you!

Good cheap break

Visited this hotel for a week in September, half board. As a younger couple, we found the location of this hotel perfect, only 15/20 min from the airport, a 20 minute walk into Kardamaina along the coast and easy access to the bus to Kos town. However, I can see why older guests would struggle at this hotel with the layout and walking into town. The majority of staff at the hotel were polite, however, we did have a couple occasions where the staff were quite rude to us. The system at lunch and tea is quite strange in the fact I’m personally used to being greeted at the door, asked my room number and walked to a table at a buffet tea. With this in mind we walked into the buffet quite confused as to whether we should wait or just sit ourselves down. When we asked a member of staff whether it was okay to sit down we were made to feel quite stupid and like a bit of a hassle… this is just one of the examples where staff spoke quite rudely to us. However, like I say the majority of staff were polite - particularly the cleaner who was lovely. The food is really up there in terms of hotel buffet food. Everything was genuinely tasty, but the selection was quite odd. There isn’t a huge selection which I don’t really mind and I think contributes to the quality of the food, but the selection that is on offer makes it quite hard to make a plate… I’m talking pasta, fried rice, beef and gravy all on one plate. All tasty but a strange combo. The rooms are fine and kept clean. Though the beds are quite uncomfortable. We didn’t need to use the air con much visiting at the end of September but from the few times we did turn it on I’m not sure it would suffice in hotter summer months. Overall, I’m not sure this is a 4* hotel but the quality of the food certainly gives it a bump. Would recommend if you can get a good deal for a cheap break.

Lovely hotel

Just back from a ten day stay at the Lagas Aegean village hotel and enjoyed it. It’s a lovely spacious, scenic hotel 20 minutes walk into kardamena or 8 euros in a taxi. Not sure why some people who say they are seasoned travellers have complained about paying for a safe or paying for drinks at a half board. That’s the norm. We enjoyed the food. Good variety and tasty breakfast, good canteen style service and lovely Greek food and homemade pizza in a wood oven in the day and good tasty food at night. Agree there isn’t a great variety at night but there was always a hand carved meat and another and fish and a couple of pasta dishes, lots of salad, and nice puddings. The bread was freshly made and very nice. Drinks were reasonable wine at 3.80 and is nice, cocktails a bit pricy at 8 but nice. Tip- buy your wine from the bar and take it into dinner to save a few pounds. I thought the staff were very nice and professional and kept the hotel to a high standard. Always clean and tidy. Lots of room around the big pool and plenty of sun beds. Would come back.

Definitely not a 4* Hotel

Overall I had a pleasant holiday, good location and some amazing views. Unfortunately the hotel is very basic. If you get a very cheap deal then it would be worth it. Some of the higher sea rooms have amazing views and it’s only about 20 mins walk to Kardamena. Good Point: - Great Views - Great Weather - Good Location - Large Pool with lots of Sunbeds - Clean Rooms - Well Kept grass and Flowers Bad Points- - No tea/coffee or water in rooms - Showers Leak (we used 3 rooms all the same) - you have to pay for everything (and I mean everything) - Small Basic Gym costs €5 per day - indoor pool and Jacuzzi very dirty - Very restricting opening and closing times for spa and gym - Very restricting opening and closing time for meals. Very limited time for evening meal - No variety of food at anytime of the day- very basic - I never had a proper evening meal, it was all just random bits of food together. You couldn’t actually have a proper meal as none of the food complimented each other. - Very basic shop with no refrigerated food or drinks. - Shared Balconies, no privacy And the most disappointing and biggest issue with our holiday was the majority of the staff. It has an awful atmosphere where the staff seems very rude. Now personally I’m not sure this is the staffs fault but awful management. If you asked for anything you was told or pointed to someone else. I seemed staff had 1 certain job and couldn’t do anything else. So if you asked someone clearing your plates for another drink they would just point to someone else and walk off. You would also be made to feel like you was asking for the world and even at times heard staff sigh and tut as you asked them for something. The by pool dinner had a half self service half staff service which made no sense and just caused confusion. Where again staff could only do certain things and argued with you if you tried to carry your plate or drink. This is definitely not a 4* Hotel and if for some reason (which I wouldn’t) return I would have all evening meals off site and in Kardamena as the food was so much better and atmosphere was great. I don’t believe companies like TUI have reviewed this hotel for a while as it’s not up to standard.

Amazing Holiday

We stayed here in September 22 and had an amazing time, the views were so beautiful and the staff were very friendly. The entertainment team really made our holiday, especially Dwayne who made our evenings really fun. The evening & day entertainment was really good and seemed to be very popular with the guests (especially the table tennis competition). The airport is only a short 15 / 20 minutes away from the hotel. The hotel is on a steep hill hit but there is a 24 hour bus that takes you to your room. We will be returning.
