Relaxing holiday

We have just returned from a wonderful relaxing 4 week stay at The Marcos Beach Hotel . From the moment we step off the ferry and are greeted by Harry who is the son of the family who own and run the hotel . He works tirelessly but always has time to chat and make sure everything is ok . Then greeted by Jackie and Melina from reception and shown to our rooms . Marcos is never far away multi tasking around the hotel and bar . They are supported by the most fantastic and hard working team who go about their work but always with polite greetings . Rooms are a generous size with standard air con , safe box and fridge . Kettles can be provided if required . Also there is an iron and ironing board which can be requested . Breakfast is a very good continental choice even satisfying us Brits needs . Clean and well kept pool which is regularly tested by Harry and machine cleaned by Marcos , saliva and Harry A good supply of sun beds line the pool area . .The Pool bar is a welcome resting place during the day with toastier and sandwiches made to order if you are peckish . It also provides a lovely meeting place in the evenings to meet and chat to friends and other holiday guests . Reception provides much info on places local to eat and where to find them . Local bus times and buses to take you to the beautiful beaches on IOS . For taxis and car rental contacts . Also quad and bike hire contacts . If you want anything then reception can help all you need to do is ask . They say the best holiday is when you arrive as guests and leave as friends . Well this is just that kind of hotel . Fantastic family run and supported by honest and hard working staff . The making of a great holiday . We recommend The Marcos Beach Hotel and have already booked 4 more weeks in 2023 . If you are looking at the reviews and thinking of maybe giving it a try , you won’t be disappointed . Thank you Marcos , Jackie , Harry , Melina and all the team for a wonderful 2022 holiday . Fantastic hotel !!

This is a small family owned and run hotel. Rooms are minimalistic and very clean. Staff is very helpful and serviceminded. Not Breakfast at Tiffanies, but more than enough 🤩 Will definitely come back 😍🇬🇷

Beautiful hotel

A lovely little hotel with beautiful sea views from the rooms, pool and terrace area. Rooms provide everything you need. Nice comfy beds and pillows. Tv, fridge, air con and safety box all included. Located only a short walk from the biggest beach and the bus that take you into the village. Run by a very nice and friendly family. Thank You from rooms 101 and 102.

Lovely hotel and owners

Had the pleasure of being the 3rd and 4th visitors of the 2022 season in May. Welcomed at the port by Harry, who at that point didn’t tell us he was the owners son and then driven c6/7minutes to the hotel. Then welcomed by Jackie, (the owner with her husband Marco). We were in room 29 (might have been 28) which is on higher level and has great views over Milopotas beach. Typical Greek shower in bathroom. Room was a good size with a covered balcony with table & chairs. For us, a kettle would have been a welcome addition for early morning drinks. The free aircon and safe were an added bonus. Pool area spotless and spacious with gazebos sheltering cushioned seats as well as the usual sun beds. Didn’t have a ‘pool bar person’ when we went as whoever was in reception would come out if there was nobody behind bar, we just had to ask. Cleaners were brilliant and bedroom kept spotless. Bedding/towels changed frequently, never needed to ask for this to be done. We didn’t eat from bar menu but did drink from bar and a few evenings we sat and chatted with Jackie / Harry ( and his girlfriend ). Breakfast as indicated elsewhere is self serve buffet. I was asked if I wanted them to get me Gluten-free bread, but chose not to do so as I took my own granola to have with the provided Greek yogurt. Location is perfect. It’s a small walk via steps and rough path or by road to beach and bus stop for bus to Chora is at end of road. A couple of times the bus picked us up on the downward route even though we were going to Chora as the Farout crowd would otherwise fill the bus before it got to us. We had expected the ‘noise’ from Farout would carry up the hill, but it didn’t. In all, a fabulous stay. Clean, friendly, great location, good rooms, hot water whenever you needed it 😅. Would we stop again? Definitely.

Idyllic place

Situated in a quiet peaceful, part of Ios. Well run family hotel and exceptionally clean. 5 mins walk from the beach couldn't ask for more. Local supermarket also bars and the bus stop into Chora,1.65 euros excellent service.Chora well worth a visit too. Chris on the bar extremely friendly and Billy wealth of knowledge very helpful about local amenities. Highly recommended would definitely come back 5/5 overall.
