We returned from our honeymoon early May. This hotel was almost 5* thanks to the service from staff and the food. Almost perfect in all areas but a few small things letting the hotel down. However would definatley visit again. Brilliant trip and would recommend highly to friends and family! A highlight was particularly the food, I haven’t often been to an all inclusive hotel and been so happy with the food, we ate well during our stay. The main restaurant catered for all, a veg corner which contained plenty of salad items, pasta salads and other veg dishes, an area for bread rolls, a cooking station which often had a meat and one fish being cooked in front of you, there was often a pasta dish with a fish or meat, and then one if you fancied a meat free option too, plenty of beautiful food! And a real variety. We only saw chips once or twice which was good for all inclusive the breakfasts were great too, French toast and pancakes every day, cooked breakfast, a variety of local fresh fruit which was the best! Lunches were also great! There is a Gala dinner every Wednesday I believe, which we didn’t attend due to our honeymoon dinner in coral it was beautiful!! Highly recommend the steak. There are a choice of other restaurants which can be booked, the Coral and Kot Nu are included in all inclusive packages but book as soon as you arrive we only just managed to get booked in they book up very quickly! Not surprisingly as the meals were fabulous!!! Kot Nu food was also great, traditional Mauritian and the restaurant was more of a beach vibe. We enjoyed the food carts too and particularly the bbqed chicken and fish at lunch. The hotel is spread over 3 areas with plenty of places to sit, relax and explore. The two pools in the relaxing areas near coral restaurant were stunning and well maintained. A good find for the afternoons. The other pool was popular too and in the afternoons there were pancakes, cakes and bread rolls with fillings served I believe 3.30-5pm. We really enjoyed the Coral pool area but it was often busy, the area also offered some stillness when we had a windier day. The main pool was nice but fairly shady and not too lively unless it was aqua aerobics, perhaps some music and some wicker sunlounger pods would be popular. I did note that the pool towels had been upgraded since an earlier review. We did bring our own sun cream despite it being provided and I am pleased because it looked like think white sunblock available on the pool bar. One Saturday there was a “pool party” which included “water polo” type and some pool floats, very quiet, we enjoyed the shots that were out. Huge thank you to Begum (room 202) our room housekeeper, she has a brilliant level of cleaning and making beautiful towel art. It’s also really impressive to be greeted every day by housekeeping! My partner was very pleased to have had his clothes folded neatly too. Also thank you to Keshwar who did the aqua aerobic which was great! Fair at the seabreeze beach bar was probably the very best customer service we’ve had, I think he worked so hard during our visit and deserves some recognition for his kind and genuine service, and great drinks! Thank you for making my Pink gins 🥰 all drinks served throughout the hotel were always perfect. I am a spa therapist my self (in a luxury hotel in UK) and the spa was fantastic for treatments, highly recommend Riya for massages she is very talented and her massage was incredibly relaxing! I would definatley go for the 90 minute rictuals with the coconut milk, a foot soak in hot coconut milk whilst having an Indian head massage with hot oils followed by a full body massage was heaven on earth. I decided to have a facial too later on in the holiday, was greeted by another therapist and the treatment was dreadfully poor, but rectified very well by the spa manager Judex, thank you for your kindness and good service. I did enjoy another massage with Riya before leaving. On checking out on day of departure you can pay I believe around £50 depending on room catogory or use the “departure lounge” which is a seperate designated building. Finally a few small cons that in my eyes would make a difference Cons - A very squeaky bed base for honeymoon guests… eek! Could definatley make the rooms more luxurious, very cheaply and easily, firstly getting rid of those horrible rugs that smell I love my husband to pieces but it would have been nice to have had a toilet door on the bathroom, the toilet cubicle just seemed to ruin the romance.. very cheaply and easily, firstly getting rid of those horrible rugs that smell Overall just wanted to say thank you for a very memorable trip. Thank you to those members of staff who went above and beyond. Hope to return!!

Hotel for a few days

This hotel is clean and does have very nice beaches and pools. Our room was a bit dated but all worked fine. The bars are cool and the crews are very nice and the wifi is of decent speed. You can buy / rent water bottles and refill them on the property which is a very nice feature! But for the size of this installation getting food is annoying: only with reservation possible. Which is nice if you like to plan the entire stay upfront but not if you like to be spontanious. Dinner in the "local" place is coupled wiith a boring menu. On the other side the lunches are very nicely organized with foodstalls in the sand . Be aware that the breakfast area is very loud. Gym is dirty (e.g. no cleaning and desifectant spray) and overloaded with outdated equipment and wihtout aircondition (broken).

An amazing honeymoon in paradise!

This place is truly something else. I'll start with the setting; quiet and relaxing (but not too quiet), beautiful, manicured private beaches and 3 fantastic pools. The grounds of the hotel are wonderfully clean and you will regularly see the gardeners and cleaners making sure everything is up to scratch. They even use an anti mosquito cleaner and it really works! The dogs who roam the grounds are fed and cared for, they have a sleeping area and aren't your typical wild dogs just hanging around. The rooms; being our honeymoon we went for a whirlpool suite and had 0 regrets about the extra price. The inside of the room was spacious, clean, comfortable and romantic. On arrival we had a message drawn out in flowers on the bed wishing us a happy honeymoon. The outside of the room was excellent. We had a spacious wide balcony covered in decking, with 2 sun loungers and our own jacuzzi. I particularly liked that the jacuzzi was screened off from potential onlookers and the next door suite so you could enjoy it in peace. The setting on the top floor also meant you didn't feel overlooked by neighbours and had a nice view of the sea. The bars; service at the bars was always prompt, nothing was too much for the staff and they'll quite happily reccomend cocktails or drinks you might like. I cannot stress this point enough: 100% go for all inclusive, it is worth every penny and there aren't many other options around that aren't at least a 15-20min drive. If you don't go all inclusive you will spend a fortune on food and drink. The restaurants; what a fantastic choice. The buffet is full of delights from around the world, service is good and its great for a quick eat. If you really want to experience lagoon attitude, make sure you book the other restaurants. Coral was our favourite non supplement with Lemongrass being well worth the extra £ for something a little different. Kot Nou was nice, but I found the menu a little confusing and I think the hotel would really benefit from a simple mauritian restaurant - like an evening version of Taba-J. Which brings me onto our fave lunch spot, taba-J, the Vindaye sauce and Bbq dorado (mahi-mahi) absolutely must be tried (or eaten every day). The staff; now this is what truly makes the place special. I genuinely cannot praise them enough. A real special shout out to the Coral Team; Nitish, Akshay, Raj and chefs Niven and Ponaye; the Coral team went above and beyond when they realised it was our last night. They layed on a special private dinner for us, away from the other guests, added shrimps and extra desserts to the menu and genuinely treated us like royalty. And the kicker - we didn't even ask for it. They just took it upon themselves to make sure the last night of our honeymoon was amazing. Others who deserve a shout out are Veronique, Anique, and Shavim for his impeccable lunchtime and lemongrass service - a true gentleman. If I was Reubens, I'd be giving Shavim and Nitish promotions ASAP. The catamaran staff are also great guys and do a cracking job! Overall an amazing place, an amazing experience and a wonderful honeymoon. If I had some tips for would-be travellers to mauritius: 1. Hire a car (do it before you get there and don't get ripped off at the airport for extra insurance, etc. 2.Go all inclusive. 3.take the catamaran cruises here, don't bother with external ones - il aux cerfs isn't worth it. 4. STAY HERE
