Perfekt beliggenhed
Dejligt hotel centralt i Skopelos by
Fin morgenmadsbuffet, fin service i receptionen. Hotellet er lidt slidt men absolut funktionelt og der var ikke lydt og ingen støj fra anden end cikaderne. 7 min til bus, 5 min til supermarked.
Lovely hotel in an ideal spot
Lovely hotel and in an ideal spot on the lovely island of Skopelos. Situated in Skopelos town just a short walk from the port and tavernas. Spotlessly clean with wonderful staff. A lovely pool to relax by after a busy day. Cannot wait to return
Great location pretty hotel
Firstly it’s a lovely hotel with excellent position for a short stroll into a very pretty town reminds me of Mykonos! Rooms were basic but spotless, but has others have said could do with some tweaks! I requested a pool view pool which were some of the more updated ones, but a shower screen or curtain would have helped with the drenching of everything in there also no hook for shower head ( which was nice and powerful) but it was like holding a snake when your trying to wash your bits one handed 😂 the food was basic but fresh we enjoyed ! and plenty f places in the habour & bakeries if you want something different! I loved the international feel from the guests and yes the clock does go all night, but you do switch off after a while! Also important if you want a quieter feel don’t go for pool room has the music by bar start’s at 10am and goes on till midnight if your unfortunate enough to have escapees from Benidorm who thought it’s ok to screech to music at midnight fill your boots 🙄😂 the pool could be a problem in peak season has only 18 lounger’s for 44 rooms! And by 4.30 all but 3 were in the shade but there was plenty of nice seating & tables to relax also there’s an excellent bus services to beach so maybe not an issue €5 return and the beach lounger’s were free has long has you buy drinks & snacks! But the buses were packed even at end of September 🤔maybe they do extra ones in peak ? The transfer times would put me off returning unless you go for 10 days or more! I’m not trying to put everyone off going has it’s a beautiful island! But the 5.45am pickup to fly at 1pm was a bit tough and some were flying later on same ferry ! Definitely think about maybe a couple of days there then a few days at the end in Skiathos! On arrival we waited 2 hours at a local cafe in Skiathos and had a water taxi over then bus/ taxi to our hotel that was dispite TUI advising no hanging about 🙄 good job is was’nt longer has the Mythos was so good after an early flight 🤪 top tip’s take a kettle Mosquito plug in and a clip on umbrella has there’s no shade in full sun also the outside space’s were very well kept and so pretty 😍
Its OK but.....
In a quiet spot only a 5 minute walk down to the harbour with shops, cafes and bars en route. The hotel is ok but could be better, its clean and tidy and all the staff are polite and attentive but that is to be expected. The rooms are small with traditional greek dark wooden ceilings and this makes the rooms dark. Bathroom was tiny approx 5 feet square with only 1 small shelf and 1 hook and this could easily be improved with a little effort. Breakfast could be better, its the same cheap basic boring offering every day but readily replenished, peach slices, melon, yoghurt, boiled eggs, chipolata sausages, breads, cakes, sliced ham and cheese from a packet, juice machine and coffee machine, no toaster, no soft background music, no ambience. Pool and bar area are nice but only 19 sunbeds for 44 rooms, the sunbeds are made from solid wood with a comfortable mattress but they were never noticeably hosed down whilst we were there and the area around the pool is tight so the sunbeds cannot easily be moved, the bar is overpriced, €6 for a small bottle of beer, the bar food was a little dull too (baguettes, salads, traditional local pies) and looked as if it had been bought in rather than freshly made yet walk down to the harbour and you can get a large draft beer for €4 and a much wider food menu from a plethora of restaurants. No pool towels, no room safe, no room kettle, no hairdryer, no drawer space but there is a mini fridge and the air con is good, WIFI seemed to work efficiently too. I appreciate its a 2 star but a few minor inexpensive tweaks could enhance this place, its not great but its not rubbish either, as I said at the start - its ok. There is a clock tower very close by and the bells chime ALL day long to tell you the time, even at 5 in the morning ! Transfer from Skiathos by ferry is about an hour, Alonnisos from Skopelos by boat is also about an hour, the local bus service takes you to the beaches and surrounding villages and the station is situated in the harbour. The local restaurants certainly want to feed you and the portions are generous and we felt very reasonably priced at €40-50 for 2 with a carafe or bottle of wine. Skopelos is beautiful and quaint with cobbled narrow streets everywhere although beware of the mopeds nipping about all the time.
