Dejligt hotel centralt i Skopelos by
Fin morgenmadsbuffet, fin service i receptionen.
Ideally located and good value
My husband and I stayed in this hotel in September 2019. We had to change our holiday plans due to unexpected circumstances this year so ended up choosing this fairly last minute. We were really pleased with our choice. The hotel is well situated in Skopelos Town, just a few minutes walk from the tavernas, bars, shops, port and bus stop. Whilst located uphill (its the nature of the town which rises up from the harbour), the walk was very manageable (and we are not the fittest of folks!). The hotel is quite a traditional looking Greek hotel and is small and friendly. Our room had a double and a single bed, ample sized wardrobe, bedside table with drawers, dressing table with drawers, luggage rack, a chair, a small fridge, air-con unit and a TV. Outside was a terrace with small table, 2 chairs and a clothes drying rack. There was a very small en-suite shower room with sink and toilet - this was really a compact space so if a big bathroom is important to you then this is not the place for you!! However, it served its purpose for us over the two weeks we stayed. The beds in the room were very comfortable, towels and linens changed regularly and room cleaned to a good standard daily. The breakfast was as I would expect for this class of hotel in Greece. Of course it can get a little samey over 2 weeks, but then so can my cupboards at home!! There was some fresh fruit, tinned peaches, Greek yoghurt, honey, cereals, cheese (yellow and feta), ham, bread, boiled eggs, small sausages, tomato, cake and brioche, jams as well as 2 juice choices, coffee, tea and hot chocolate. Unless you are incredibly fussy then you won't starve! The pool was lovely and whilst not masses of sunbeds we never struggled to get one when we wanted one. I would say that the sunbeds could perhaps soon do with replacement as some were a bit rickety! There is a bar near to the pool serving drinks and ice creams. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Pros - friendly staff, comfortable beds, excellent location, clean, good sized pool, good value for price paid Cons - very small shower room, sunbeds could do with updating Definitely reccomend for anyone who wants a clean, comfortable, well situated base from which to enjoy this island at a very sensible price.
Had a ten night stay here in early July and loved it. This hotel should not be two stars. The hotel is typically Greek and the staff are all lovely, helpful and friendly. Rooms are compact but fine. Clean towels provided every day. The hotel is well situated, close enough to the bars, restaurants and shops but quiet. Breakfast is fine and always bring replenished. Free air conditioning in the room. Rooms are quite basic but do have a fridge. Bathroom is fine and showers are really good. The little bar is compact but lovely and George made some great cocktails. We didn’t use the pool as preferred the beach but it did look nice. The sun beds were a little tired though. In summary this is a great hotel, would definitely return and recommend. Skopelos is beautiful and you can easily get around using the bus. Recommend the boat trip to near by Alonissos too as it’s beautiful. Great holiday.
Lovely small hotel
The first time in Greece that I've had a really comfortable bed! Set back in the town a 5 minute walk from the sea front this is a lovely small hotel. All the staff are friendly and helpful. The included breakfast is delicious: cheddar and feta cheese, tomatoes, 3 types of cereals, 3 types of bread, preserves, 3 types of cakes/muffins, ham, the best Greek yoghurt I've ever tasted, really fresh and delicious oranges, mini frank further sausages, boiled eggs, tinned peaches, tea, coffee, water, it's the same every day, but there's lots to choose from
