Great hotel

Lovely small hotel which serves on a B&B basis. Rooms small but we had a balcony overlooking the pool which was great. Bedding and towels changed daily. Breakfast was OK, I would say catered on a more continental style. Had some items suitable for English breakfasts but quality was not there. Take your own teabags too as tea is not great at all. Not enough sun beds for all guests, everyone put towels out from early morning. Good sturdy beds but mattresses need renewing. Bar excellent with branded alcohol on sale until midnight. Bar food is also good but is expensive. Good location close to bus stops which run until midnight from Fira back to Kamari. Short walk to restaurants and bars. A great holiday all in all. This holiday would get 5 stars with just some very minor changes

Nice/ clean hotel

It is a nice, clean hotel with very friendly staff, we stayed for 10 days. We were lucky to have a balcony that got great sun in the evening. We only ate breakfast once, we don't normally eat breakfast but there didn't seem to be a great choice of foods and the tables are sat very close together. I can't comment if the food changed as we didn't go more than once. The hotel has two pools, both nice but we preferred the small pool as it was quiet. The sun beds are limited at this pool and we aren't the type of people to get up early and reserve beds so we went to the beach everyday. We bought lunch/drinks at a restaurant and used their beach. You can also use the sister hotel beach which is a few mins walk away. When we came back to hotel in early eve there were normally a few loungers so we could go for a swim in the pool. We went to a few restaurants outside of Kamari and to Oia for the day, the hotel were great in organising a taxi for us. There are local shops/coffee shop for snacks and drinks close by. Almira restaurant on the beachfront is really nice for lunch and dinner.

Paradise in Santorini 🧿🦋

A fantastic week at the Strogili hotel in Kamari. Excellent rooms that are well equipped, with fresh towels and room cleaned daily. Aircon and safe included in room. Good wifi throughout hotel. Immaculate hotel grounds with a great bar that serves everything from cocktails to milkshakes. Breakfast was good and plentiful - typical European breakfast with lots of choice that differed daily. Towels provided for around the pool. Staff very helpful and happy to advise about the island and things to do & see. You are able to book excursions through the hotel. Airport around 10 minutes away so very convenient - it’s cool seeing the planes fly so low over the nearby beach. Many other reviews have stated about the poor sunbed situation however we didn’t have an issue with this at all (mid august) so don’t let this put you off booking. We are usually up by 8-9am. We came back from a trip at around 12pm and still managed to get sun beds around the pool. Restaurants, bars and the beach are only a 3 minute walk away so a great location. We enjoyed Kamari - a small town similar to many other towns in the greek islands. We hired a car from Hermes car rental and explored the rest of the island and also had a boat trip booked. I would definitely recommend Strogili Hotel to anyone thinking of booking Santorini.

Amazing holiday in Kamari

What a fantastic hotel this is! When my boyfriend and I arrived, we were greeted at reception with the most friendly and helpful staff who were able to answer any questions we had. The room was immaculate and very spacious and we were lucky to have a balcony overlooking the bar and pool. The location of the hotel was great, being only a 2 minute walk to the beach which had a whole variety of restaurants and bars to choose from, we loved walking along every night, choosing where to eat. Breakfast was lovely, lots of variety with cooked breakfast, pastries, salads, and fruit and staff were very attentive, constantly bringing out fresh food etc. We had lunch at the bar one of the days and it was also fantastic. We visited Oia and Fira and staff were so helpful organising taxi transfers for us both times and we were also recommended the catamaran sailing tour which the staff organised for us. This is a must do if you visit Santorini!! The sights were amazing, we had the chance to swim in the hot springs near the volcano and also see the red and white beaches as well as having lunch, drinks, towels and snorkelling equipment all provided. As many of the other reviews have highlighted, the only downside to the hotel is how few sunbeds there are around the pool. There are signs to say that sunbeds should not be reserved with towels or personal belongings and these will be removed after 30 minutes, however staff are not consistent with this. We like to explore and do lots of different things so we weren't looking for sunbeds everyday but we were lucky that when we did want a day by the pool, there were two left but most mornings, all sunbeds were reserved with towels by about 8am. One of the days, towels were left on sunbeds for at least 4 hours without anyone on them and none of the staff removed them, however, the next day, a couple had left their sunbeds to go back to the room and after 5 minutes the bar staff removed them to allow another couple to have them. Staff should be more consistent in implementing this as it would give a lot more people the chance to sit and relax by the pool at the hotel they're paying for. Despite this small issue, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend to anyone looking for somewhere to stay in the Kamari area. It really is a gorgeous hotel, in a great location with fantastic staff and we look forward to visiting again soon.

Fabulous hotel

I booked this holiday for my daughter and I requesting a twin room only to find we were allocated a double bed. The duty receptionist said we could ask for another room the next morning but we didn’t as we loved the location of room 117. It was a lovely, modern room with air con ( a bit noisy on high) and stunning bathroom facilities. The food was great at breakfast and at the pool bar (same as room service menu) but for the evening meal (we had half board booked) we had to walk to a nearby sister hotel and the food was not good. So we ate out 3 of the 5 nights we were there. I wouldn’t bother with half board there are so many restaurants along the seafront. Other than the minor issues, it is a beautiful boutique hotel, very stylish and adult only. One other thing is the sunbed around the pool. There are not enough and to get one you need to be out by 8am which isn’t great . And although there are signs saying belongings will be removed, they aren’t.
