Прекрасный отель! У нас была вилла со своим бассейном, удивило что бассейн был такой большой. Очень дружелюбный персонал, уборка была каждый день. Отель расположен близко к пляжу (~5 минут пешком). На территории отеля очень спокойная и расслабляющая атмосфера. Еще в отеле есть отличный Spa.

Beautiful hotel

We have just returned from the resort & spa. Our room had a private pool, which was amazing, and regularly cleaned. The water was cool, but bearable. The cleaners were efficient and friendly, Michael and Maria were always pleasant and greeted us each morning with a smile, and remembered our drinks order each day. Kelly was also lovely, and was a pleasure to talk to at the pool bar. We didn't get to use the communal outdoor spa area pool, but this was a beautiful peaceful area. We did try to use the spa pool and jacuzzi, though disappointingly, the water is not heated until 15th May. It would have been handy to have this area to use the day we had rain and couldn't use outdoor pools. A couple of tips to the hotel: More drawers in the room not sure how you would store clothes if you were there over a week. A welcome pack in the room would have been useful, including room service menu, do not disturb sign, information on trips available, etc. Milk in the room to make tea/coffee (we managed to buy some in a local shop). Overall however, fantastic hotel and staff. Hope to make a return visit some time.

Heaven

We enjoyed one of our best ever holidays at this wonderful place and can’t wait to return. We had a room with private pool (11) which surpassed expectations, a decent size and very sheltered and private, and very very peaceful. The pool was a bit cold in early May but still useable and in summer it would probably be much warmer. Our room was at the end of a row which was great, but the place has been so well designed that even if you had neighbours on both sides it would still feel very private. The sunbeds were super comfortable too and well-positioned to catch the sun all day long. It was bliss. As many other reviews have said, the staff really make the hotel special by being warm, approachable and welcoming and creating an atmosphere of relaxation and luxury. Michael and Maria did a fantastic job at breakfast - it’s a la carte and everything was delicious and beautifully presented. After the first day they must have memorised our drinks preferences (including a highly recommended frappe) as we never had to ask again. Likewise Kelly at the pool bar was great, so friendly and helpful. The location of the hotel is good, very close to the beach and a 10 min walk to the main Kalamaki strip where we went most nights for dinner. The onsite shop is handy too for water etc, and there’s a fridge provided in the room. We plan to return for longer next time and explore a bit more of the island, but this time around we wanted a relaxing and peaceful break and the Golden Sun Resort and Spa delivered that in spades, and more. We couldn’t recommend it highly enough - fabulous.

Perfect quiet getaway

This place is incredible. Myself and my husband have just got back from a beautiful 7 day trip. We stayed in the suite side of the resort in a private pool suite, the suites are very clean and spacess and are equipped with everything you need. The size of the pool actually shocked us as is was much bigger than anticipated. The grounds are spotless and well kept. The housekeeping staff are brilliant they come everyday and the suits are spotless they make a special effort with there different towel displays. The only down side for us was the pool was way to cold, they were that cold they were painful to get into also after a few days the pool got really dirty with leaves and twigs and it wasn't cleaned. This resort would defiantly benefit from heated pools. This resort has a beautiful spa, the inside pool and hot tub are complimentary but again both were freezing so we couldn't really enjoy it. The treatments are reasonably priced. I had a back and shoulder massage and it was incredible and I came out feeling like a new women. The staff are a real asset to this resort. Mike was the first person we met when we arrived and he was ready with a very warm welcome he made us feel very comfortable straight away, Stella was really friendly and was always ready to give us the time to have a chat which we found so lovely and Kelly is the light of this place always ready to greet you with a warm smile, her laugh is infectious and really makes you feel like part of the resorts family. The resort is close to everything its a 5 minute walk to the beach and is close to mini markets, shops, and restaurants. There is also a taxi rank right out side the hotel we preferred to use the taxi's from there rather than ordering them from reception as we found them incredibly cheaper. After speaking to other guest we realised that everyone is told something different when checking in which made it a little confusing I feel this needs to be more consistent with all guests. We would have loved to come and stay again but the pool situation has made us think twice because we feel we couldn't make the most out of our suite.

Perfect quiet week away

We stayed at this hotel in July 2023. We didn’t bother with airport transfers through our booking because it was so close to the airport, it was only a €20 taxi ride. Check in can be a bit confusing, you have to go to the sister hotel next to it on the right but we were promptly seen to, paid our entry tax and then walked over to our room by the reception staff. We staying in room 1 which is in the far right hand corner tucked away. The room was very well appointed with extra sunbed towels, bathrobes, slippers, fridge, safe, tv, and a very big bed. After a few minutes our luggage was brought to us as well as welcome drinks, and as we arrived on my fiancés birthday we were given a birthday cake as well, a very nice touch which was not pre-communicated to them and was done entirely off their own backs. Our room had its own pool and 2 sun beds, as well as a table and chairs outside. By the end of the week the pool did have quite a few leafs/branches in it that we fished out by hand but there was still some at the bottom of the pool we didn’t get. I think because we were so close to the trees that didn’t help, maybe could have done with a net in our garden area to fish these out, but oh well. The pool area was lovely, during our week stay we only saw about 3 other couples there during the day so there was never any issues with getting sun beds, and there are plenty of umbrellas around as well if you want some shade. The staff here are truly wonderful, Kelly at the pool bar, and Mike and Dennis in the restaurant. Breakfast is in the dining hall, you arrive and get to pick where you want to sit, and can order as much or as little as you like from the set menu. We regularly had pancakes and a fruit plate, but some other couples had about 5 different things. This is where the hotel seemed at its busiest. The pool bar is well stocked with beer on tap, wines, and spirits. We often got a few beers during the day which were lovely and cold and Kelly would come and check on us to see if we wanted any more. You can either pay for each purchase, set up a tab and pay at the end of the day, or charge it to the room and pay when you check out. We also got quite a few bowls of complementary nuts as well brought to our sun bed. The food served at the pool bar is also very good and is available most of the day. We regularly shared a pizza which was very good, and we also had a burg by er and bruschetta on other occasions. We didn’t go for lunch anywhere else because it was all reasonably priced and quick to arrive. In the evenings after our meal out we would come back to the bar and have a few drinks and a nice chat with Kelly telling us about her family and the island, she even let us sample some of the wines they had. We booked a spa treatment which is under the restaurant area and both got massages. Very friendly staff and one of the girls even started talking to me about the book I was reading. Overall it was just a fantastic stay with great staff and very relaxing. When we hired a quad bike from town for a few days Kelly was giving us recommendations of where to go, and found it very funny when we reported that we got lost on our first day. We have booked again and will be back in July 2024 for a quick pre-wedding get away.
