Bryllupsrejse

Vi var på bryllupsrejse på stedet og havde et godt ophold. Maden er i den dyre ende på resortets restauranter, men kvaliteten er fin. Vi havde nogle udfordringer med A/C og TV, men personalet fandt en hurtig løsning og gav en rimelig kompensation.

Super dejligt sted

Høj kvalitet og afslappet "fransk" stemning... Personalet er meget gæstfrit og værelserne er lækre... Morgenmaden er helt uovertruffen! Lever fuldt ud op til forventningerne... :-) Dejlig beliggenhed og skønne omgivelser - alt i alt en dejlig oplevelse at være her.

Aldeles suverænt

det er det suverænt bedste hotel jeg nogensinde har boet på. ALT var fantastisk, betjening, omgivelser, faciliteter - selv maden var aldeles fantastisk. Kommer I til Seychellerne, er det u-betinget der man skal bo.

Fishermans Cove Hotel,Mahe ,Seychelles

The hotel is not suitable for persons with mobility or visual problems .This was not stated in any hotel description any where . No lift there .From our hotel the restaurant was very close ,but was at a higher level with steep rise walkway .,difficult walk for me with walking stick twice a day for 5 days .It was particularly difficult in dark evenings or when it rained. The hotel claims to have a beech ,which is not true. The beech actually belongs to its sister hotel Story ( same owner ).All guests of Fishermans Cove can go there ,but walk way is not easy for people with mobility problems .We thus went there only once . The reception staff were not very friendly or helpful or knowledgeable on things to do or see in Mahe They refered us to their tour desk run by a man who comes daily for 2 hours only 5-7 pm . He was no good either .He kept us asking what we wanted to do , rather than telling and showing pictures in leaflets or brochures about places to see,things to do,trip duration and costs. So we came back to reception next day to arrange a round the island and victoria (capital ) tour over 6 hours by an expensive taxi ( 200 Euro without food or drink ). We saw an elderly couple like us asking reception for info on buses to go to Victoria ( Bus stop near the Hotel ). Instead of telling about bus,the staff were telling them to get a taxi . The staff at main restaurant were good ,but food varieties should be improved. We were disappointed not getting tropical Sychelles fruits eg bananas ,jack fruit ,star fruit ,breadfruit dishes ,green coconut water with soft coconut jelly etc . Domestic Staff for the rooms were very good , our sea view room was good . Elongated swimming pool , by the sea looks good , there is no bridge to walk from one side to other ,when one needs going to have a glass of water or towel ., the rails on both sides for going in or out of pool were loose and slippery and I actually had slipped once . Overall , the hotel is good for younger people ,but may hot be so for older tourists ; the reception staff need training to be knowledgeable,helpful and polite to guests.

Beautiful

Fisherman's Cove is a lovely hotel in a beautiful location. One of the few places I've been where the reality is as gorgeous as the brochure photos. We did a package with Etihad which was good value. Prices in Seychelles are expensive for drinks etc (roughly double UK prices) so we were glad to be doing half board. The food at the hotel was good, lots of choice and a variety of healthy salads and fresh fruit. The gardens around the hotel are well kept and it is a two min walk to a beautiful beach. Snorkelling trips are arranged by the hotel for those who prefer the safety of a group and a guide. Also took a trip to Moyenne island on a glass bottomed boat, followed by lunch on Cerf Island - also excellent.
