Lå tæt på strand og by.

Der var meget lydt på værelserne. Der var problemer med plads i restauranten, da det var regnvejr, på grund af at man ikke kunne sidde udenfor.

Godt hotel

Lige kommet hjem fra 7 dage på Minos sidst i oktober 2014. Hotellet ligger rigtig godt kun 15/20 minutters gang langs den smukke kyst fra den gamle by, og 3 minutter fra stranden. Vi syntes ikke at området var slidt, som en tidligere anmelder, men ok, alle har ret til deres holdning (gå på street view og se selv efter). Hotellet er ret og rummeligt med en dejlig stor pool og en mindre pool foran. Personalet kunne ikke være mere hjælpsomme og venlige. Vi havde en junior suite, der var meget rummelig (nærmest på størrelse med to normale værrelser) med flotte detaljer som en flaske vin, frugtkurv og et køleskab fyldt med juice, vand og sodavand. Hotellet var meget stille, men det var nærmest den sidste uge, det var åbent, så ingen klager herfra. Morgenmaden var meget acceptabel, men vi syntes aftensmåltiderne savnede kvalitet og blev dårligere jo tættere vi kom på hotellets lukning. Vi ville absolut bruge dette hotel igen pga dets beliggenhed og venlige personale.

Nice

Should check more often vegetables - sometimes were not fresh and also missed a water in dinner, but summing up our experience - it was great staff! It was great, that You had regularly some evening activities.

Uncomfortable

We arrived for a two night stay as part of a tour and were instantly made to feel uncomfortable, the lady on reception was rude and very un welcoming, the check in process was long and after a 2 hour coach journey not what you want! As we were on a tour there was a group of 11 of us that arrived at the same time, we were all made to leave our luggage to one side and fill out forms and pay the city tax up front, this would have been ok but we then had to wait for the rest of the group to fill everything out and pay before they would give us our room keys, we then had to wait again to be shown to our room when we had already advised we were quite happy to take our luggage and go ourselves to speed up the process. The Room was fairly clean, not huge but it was fine, light and airy, the big downfall was the bathroom! It was tiny and out dated, my partner is 6’4 and he really struggled with the shower, there was hair around the tap and on the toilet seat, upon arrival, the bathrooms really let the rooms down they definitely need renovating! There were similar comments from other guests in our group. The buffet breakfast had a variety to choose from and was one thing we enjoyed at the hotel but we were looking forward to checking out and moving onto our next hotel 5 minutes up the road! We didn’t feel that the hotel was 4 star upon check in and this was confirmed to us when we saw the room, we definitely feel this hotel is a 3 star, we wouldn’t stay here again and we are are glad we only had to stay here for 2 nights.

The hotel had an informal and relaxing atmosphere with pleasant, helpful staff. The room we booked was a ‘superior double’, which was quiet, clean and spacious, with plenty of wardrobe space and a room safe that worked well. In addition, there was a little kitchenette area, partitioned off from the bedroom, complete with an electric hob, fridge and kettle; a sofa and a second TV plus a small dining table and chairs. The balcony was really clean and spacious, with a clothes airer, which made it easy to dry beach towels, swimming costumes, etc. There was a nice, fresh buffet breakfast with hot and cold options and last but by no means least, a lovely, clean, well-maintained and attractive hotel pool. The location of the hotel was in a quiet street and yet it was also within easy walking distance from the beach, numerous restaurants and shops. All in all, we would thoroughly recommend this hotel as a great place to stay in Rethymno, Crete.

Another great two weeks

I have just returned from my second holiday at this excellent hotel Ten out of ten for the building and decor.... however my experience is that the most important ingredient in the success of the best hotels are in the staff and how they react to the guests and without doubt I could not fault any of them. Standing out for me were Stella, Visali.in the restaurant and whilst I do not know her name, the cleaner of room 704 , who greeted us always with a welcome and a lovely smile. highlight of our two weeks was to be invited as honoured guests to a wonderful gala dinner with ten other guests who were returning yet again for yet another year. This was a lovely gesture and was greatly appreciated. Thanks also to the two Norwegian guests we made friends with despite language differences, Knut, Michel and their two lovely wives.
