Fantastiske faciliteter til en afslappende ferie

Vi tilbragte 1 uge på dette skønne ressort som familie/badeferie. Selve ressortet og faciliteterne var i topklasse. Der var rent og pænt og ligesom en eksotisk botanisk have med de skønneste blomster og planter over det hele. 3 skønne pool områder og en dejlig tilhørende strand. Rengøringen var suværen, der var intet at sætte på det. Vi spiste super lækkert og med kæmpe variation i a la carte restauranten! Kvaliteten af maden var høj og det var gjort meget ud af autensiticet og oplevelsen i at der var forskellige kulturelle indslag hele ugen og MANGE retter. De andre restauranter på ressortet var blandet og mindre god i kvaliteten bortset fra Ayeri som var udsøgt gourmet mad. Desuden havde alle restauranter ikke bare havudsigt, men man sad direkte ud til havet! Faktisk var der havudsigt over alt på ressortet fordi det også lå lidt oppe men helt ud til havet. Resortet havde alt hvad man skal bruge, så der ikke var behov for at komme uden for ressortet - det skal så også siges at der var heller ikke noget at komme efter uden for! Kedeligt og på ingen måde hyggelig by eller natur. Lidt længere oppe kunne man finde Malias bargader, men det var ikke noget der havde interesse for os. Vi blev på ressortet hele ugen, så man skal nok være indstillet på at det er sådan en slags ferie man er på, der er ikke meget at opleve på det feriemål. Det meste af personalet var super venlige men der var ligesom de lige skulle varmes lidt op til det. Når vi var blevet kendte ansigter, fik vi lidt bedre service. Men vi blev altid mødt med smil, dog kunne man nogen gange godt føle de blev lidt irriteret, over nogle småting. Det var en smule underligt da vi først ankom og receptionisten skulle tjekke os ind. Det var ligesom om han læste op fra et manuskript, da han skulle forklare os omkring de praktiske ting. Det gik meget stærkt, var på dårligt engelsk og han kiggede ned hele tiden, så vi fik ikke opfattet meget af det. Til gengæld blev vi hentet og kørt til vores bungalow i golfvogne 😎 Jeg har oplevet større service niveau tidligere på 5 * når man betaler mange penge for all inclusive osv. forventer man at også er højt niveau. Men alt i alt en super ferie oplevelse 👌🏼

Lever ikke op til Luxury Resort 5 stjerner

Bestilte 1 bungalow 3 voksne og 1 bungalow 2 voksne 2 enkeltsenge ved siden af hinanden ved relaxingpool i 11 dage all inklusive og forespurgte om resortet var overbook. Modtager mail: the hotel is not overbook. Your booking are confirmed. Ved ankomst er dette ikke virkligheden. Først dagen efter bungalow ved siden af hinanden men ikke to enkeltsenge som bestilt og lovet. Sovesofa meget dårlig direkte på fjederne og aircondition over denne. Ved relaxingpool også børnefamilier. Rengøring pool 2 gange på 11 dage.n poolbar ingen service. All inklusive indtil kl.00.30 herefter selv betale, is selv betale, køleskab 1 flaske vand pr person pr dag. Bestilling af coca cola på Main restauranten føret serveret når måltidet var overstået. Kødet i restauranten meget tørt og genbrugt i sammenkogt næste dag. "Ayeri" A La Carte restaurant 1. Besøg + 12 euro pr. person dårlig - A La Carte. 2. Besøg tema aften fisk + 48 euro pr person har aldrig i hele mit liv fået så dårlig A La Carte måltid og Service spild af penge. Opholdet på resortet, ekstremt dyr ferie i forhold til valuta for pengene dårlig oplevelse

Lever ikke op til 5 stjerner

Vi har besøgt dette hotel i 11 dage og jeg må desværre sige at det lever ikke op til sine 5 stjerner. Og value for the money. Vi havde all incl. Men måtte hver gang oplyse dette samt værelses nr. Vi kunne ikke få ex. En is, den skulle vi betale for, der var sådanne flere ting. I baren var det seperat drinks kort, hvis vi ville have fra det andet skulle vi betale. Pool service var dårligt. Relace pool blev støvsuget en gang i den periode vi var der. Da vi ankom til hotellet var det ikke de værelser vi var blevet lovet. Alt i alt en dyr oplevelse og bestemt ikke et hotel vi kommer tilbage til. Det skal dog siges at rengøring af værelser fejlet ikke noget, der var pænt rent.

Memorable Holiday

We have recently returned from a 10 night stay at the Ikaros Resort in August and we had a truly wonderful holiday. Booked at very short notice because of the pandemic, the staff worked very hard prior to arrival to find us two rooms that met our requirements. And from our first day that standard of care and attention was maintained consistently and throughout our stay, right up to return airport transfer in a luxurious Mercedes people carrier. Having only recently reopened due to Covid, we felt very safe everywhere, including the lovely spa (treatments only) and in the gym, with no concerns whatsoever. Use common sense here people with timings. The locations for the excellent restaurants meant that evening meals enjoyed beautiful sea views from elevated positions and the exquisite sunsets while savouring the delights of the Asian restaurant were comparable to any we've seen, anywhere in the world. All the staff were outstandingly friendly, polite and welcoming. Starting with the gentleman who took us to our rooms and who was invariably helpful in so many ways during our time there. In addition to the lovely staff at the Asian restaurant, the fabulous Zoe in the traditional Cretan restaurant, the team in the stunning Ayeri and Magda also rate for special mentions. Hats off too to the people who maintained the beautiful landscaping and the stunning swimming pools. Most of all a big thank you to the senior management of Nikos and Kristos. Their attention to detail, generosity and efforts to make us feel special with many surprise "treats" (big and little) worked - we did feel very special. When you open that Specialist Gin Bar gentlemen we'll be the first ones back! As a Chelsea supporting family losing the Cup Final to Arsenal while we were there was difficult to take, but even ex-Arsenal player Ray Parlour, who was a fellow guest, was magnanimous in victory. Final word and quote of the holiday goes to Magda at the bar on our first afternoon. When we complimented her on the cocktails she said "Oh I don't make them, you should praise the bar staff for that. I am just the PR, the pretty face - underneath this mask I'm very cute, trust me". Delightful.

Nice stay with some room for improvement in service and communication

We stayed here for 9 nights all inc just to relax and get some rest from daily business. Greece/Crete was in a good range from Germany so the COVID induced side effects on the flight were still acceptable. We had a pretty quick transfer from airport to the hotel and had a friendly welcome although we were told on our arrival that the spa area is closed due to Corona. That is understandable but still disappointing as it’s advertised as a spa hotel. Alternatives were not offered. The room we got was new/renovated with interior as shown on pictures. It was very nice and comfy. The garden view was unfortunately a very closed area with just a small circled garden and a lot of rooms around it. The walls are pretty thin and the echo in the garden can disturb you from a good sleep, but that depends on your neighbors. You had the choice to wear a mask, all employees were wearing one. You had Desinfection stations around the amenities and the whole hotel was very clean. There are 3 a‘la carte restaurants and one buffet. We recommend to book slots right after arrival to be able to enjoy all 3 restaurants. We booked a few days later 2 of them but didn’t receive a slot for one of the 3 restaurants. Unfortunately no alternatives were offered here as well. We highly recommend the restaurants, as it’s a chance to escape the Corona induced limitations in the buffet restaurant, like standing in lines with people not following the distance rules and waiting for waiters who were filling the plates based on your choice. Avoiding peak hours makes it easier for everyone. The food in the ala carte restaurants was very good and special. The Buffet Restaurant had a lot of options for every taste and always a good selection of the traditional Greek cuisine. The role model for exceptional customer service is the hotel manager himself, who were always around during busy times helping out and even serving food. He welcomed every guest in all the ala carte restaurants and was taking care of our well being. Although most part of the employees were nice and friendly you were not always feeling welcomed. Especially the reception is expected to be nice and friendly but seemed even not to be interested asking us for our stay experience while we were checking out. Some employees in the kitchen but also at the bar seemed to be overstrained and stressed or just not experienced in cooking and serving. But the experienced staff was always friendly and helpful. Gym area was well equipped but had also its peak times with too many people training at the same time which is maybe not the best idea during COVID. The pool areas were nice, you had 3 pools in total, all pretty quiet. The only downside were the limited sunshades and the usual „reservations“ of a lot of sunbeds already before the breakfast even began. Some of them being reserved for 2-4h without usage leaving a lot of upset people who were left with some small mobile sun umbrellas handed over by the pool/beach staff. Although the hotel has rules about reservations of sunbeds, these rules were not enforced. After 5 days of trying to get some sunbeds with shade on the beach at human times of 9:00 AM we were forced to start to reserve them as well as the staff was saying that they cannot free up reserved beds. The hotel has also an enclosed spa and wellness area with a lot of services offered. The massage was very good and relaxing in a very calm and nice facility. The other highlight was the variety of beverages at the bar with a lot of good cocktails and pretty quick barkeepers. Bottom line we enjoyed our stay which was very relaxing but we would be happy to be welcomed more friendly next time. :-)
