Det rum vi blev tilldelade natt två efter ett minst sagt dåligt rum natt 1. Och Frukosten!! Bästa frukosten.

Om en gruppresa kommer med 20 personer och har betalat in lika mycket för resan bör alla få likvärdiga rum.Det jag och min vän blev tilldelat( efter första katastrofnatten) rum 334 är minst den klassen på rum alla i gruppen bör ha fått.

Fantastiskt hotell på alla sätt. Vi blev uppgraderade.

Inte till hotellet men eftersom vi blev uppgraderade till detta hotell så var vi oförberedda på prisnivån.

Upersonligt dyrt og langsom betjening

Hele restaurant området, upersonlig og buffeten er ikke anderledes end andre steder. Mangler hygge og personlig præg. Nogle af personlig lidt stresset. Alle sad vi der lidt robotagtige og spiste hver vores mad. Bad om at få fixet air con - her på 2 døgn ikke fixet. Købte et tillæg med havudsigt, fik kun delvis havudsigt. Personalet tilbød os værelse med mere havudsigt for 150 euro natten. Det er et godt værelse, dejlige senge, rent og fint. Men ærgerligt at hotellet, burde gøre mere for servicen. Kaffemaskinen var i stykker men blev hurtigt skiftet ud. Strand: Lækker strand. Men lille. Høj musik og larm... Da vi ville tage en kuvert/linned til solsengen, fik vi skæld ud af personale, vi måtte ikke tage en derfra, men skulle hente vores håndklæder i værelse. Vi glemte vores badekåbe i stranden, men vi har ikke fået udleveret en ny, ifb med rengøringen. Værelsesfacilitet. Faciliteten er helt okay og fortjener 5 stjerne, servicen fjerner den 5 stjerne. Rengøring - godt - virkelig god God senge. Ingen gulvtæppe. Fik værelse med delt græsplæne terrasse. Buffetren er industriel og kedelig. Bar har god service - men der er dyrt 25 euro for en halv flaske hvid vin (og i restauranten). Vi købte afbudsrejsen hos TUI - som har prøvet at hjælpe os så godt de kunne. Vi bad om voksenhotel helst med 5-6 stjerne, så vi kunne slappe helt af, men den søde TUI medarbejder søde sagde det er så sjældent at der mange børn i et 5 stjerne hotel, så det skulle vi ikke frygte. Der var mange børn og mange babyer.. Der var mange børn og mange små børn/babyer. Men TUI var meget behjælpelige på stedet.

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE

My wife and I took our married children and grandchildren as well as our single daughter for a holiday to spend together we were lucky enough to be given for Bungalow rooms next door to each other which would have been beautiful but for several things Bungalow number 37 had a terrible terrible mold and mildew smell and when we got back to America my daughter who slept in that room has been having a cough which her doctor suggests can be as a result of breathing in mold and mildew for 10 days straight. Bungalow’s 38 and 39 both had a problem with ants coming out from the shower drain for just about the entire stay. My room which was number 40 had a terrible fly infestation which the hotel management treated with bug spray and was kind enough to leave the bug spray in our room for me and my wife to treat. We have videos of what we were dealing with for 5 of the 10 days. They offered to move our room however the only room that was available a day later would have been at the furthest point on the premises away from my kids and grandkids which was not the point of the vacation. The management had nothing else to offer us, as an example, a credit for part of our stay. zero absolutely zero. Had they even said we’ll give you a $500 or $100 OR EVEN A $10 credit that would’ve been something. They did nothing. Wheras the grounds the are pretty nice these rooms were absolutely not acceptable and I would not recommend this hotel to anyone specifically because of the fact that the management would not do anything for us. As a point, my wife and I travel a lot and have NEVER experienced this lack of hospitality.

Excellent location, old hotel not maintained

We received a bungalow with the smell of mold, moisture in the ceiling, the air conditioning did not work, after a few hours we complained we got a small heater for a room that did not help much The manager Minas came and saw , he promised to fix but he had not arranged anything. In addition there were many insects in the room inside and out. I am sorry but this is not leading hotel of the world !!!

A holiday ruined by sickness

We were caught out by a gastroenteritus bug during our holiday here. Its effects were absolutely awful and totally ruined the majority of days we were here. These things happen and I accept that . However, I do feel hotel management could have done far more to try and mitigate it sweeping through the place. Something as simple as advisory letters to hotel guests reminding them of proper hygiene and ensuring everyone used anti - bug gel dispensers which seemed to be almost hidden away in its buffet restaurant might have helped. We were also a little surprised to see in-room crockery and glass being rinsed our in our bathroom sinks rather than being taken away and properly washed in a kitchen environment. My partner was told that the virus had been brought in by guests. I am sure that is true. But once there, it was surely encumbent on the hotel to do more to prevent its spread ruining people’s holidays -and a wedding anniversary celebration - in the process.

Elounda Bay Palace Gastroenteritis Outbreak

My partner and I stayed at the Elounda Bay Palace from the 1st October to the 7th October 2018 on a Jet2 Holiday, on the second day my partner caught a gastroenteritis virus initially with projectile vomiting and laterally with diarrhea. The hotel Customer Services firstly advised us that the virus was endemic in Elounda and reoccurred every year when the temperature started to fall after the summer. When my partner failed to recover and eventually needed a doctor they stated that the virus was brought in by a guest. Throughout our stay we heard several other guests complaining about the virus and when the doctor visited our room she left her practice stamp in our room, and when I returned the stamp to her she stated she was treating another guests. Jet2 Holiday rep was conspicuous by her absence and it was not until the second last day that we met in the hotel, we had up till then communicated by text. She did however obtain from the hotel a refund of our doctor's fee, which I cannot help thinking was an admission of liability. Meetings with the rep at that time were by appointment only, a rather poor service for a package holiday. Jet2 have tried to downplay the extent of the virus however their rep did text me that "I understand a sickness bug is doing the rounds." The hotel did their best to mitigate the effects of the virus on us , giving us fresh fruit and chocolates in our room and the offer of a free lunch on the day of our departure. By this time I also had caught the virus and we considered it prudent not to eat before our long journey home. I feel the hotel did not have an adequate plan to deal with the annually occurring virus, there was no notification or monitoring in place and guests were expected to suffer.
