Good but wouldn’t return
Me and my partner stayed a this hotel for 10 days. The hotel itself is clean and the food is nice. Due to the hotel being so new the staff are very strict with certain things. For example, men HAVE to wear long trousers or they’re not allowed in the restaurant for dinner and the staff at reception refused to give us any suggestions on where to eat outside of the hotel so that we eat at the hotel restaurant. I did not see why this mattered because the money for food was already paid for. Also, the entertainment is poor. Not much goes on in the evenings so be prepared to bring cards, board games, etc...to keep yourselves entertained! Over all, the staff are friendly and helpful. The hotel is clean and a nice place to stay. There is plenty of sun loungers around so you don’t have to wake up early and reserve sun beds and pool towels and the safe in the room are provided free of charge. But we wouldn’t stay here again due to the reasons listed above. However we wouldn’t stay here again as we would prefer some where more lively!
Lovely, relaxing holiday
We visited for a one week stay in June. Overall we really enjoyed it and it was a much needed chilled break. We booked this through Jet2 Holidays back in April and were skeptical at the start due to never using Jet2 before and the hotel having not been finished built yet. We constantly checked the reviews everyday when the hotel had opened to see what other people's first impressions were and our expectations of the hotel exceeded us! We got in touch with the hotel a few weeks before and had let them know it was our anniversary and was enquiring to see if we could book/organise something special for this. Much to our delight upon arrival we had be upgraded to a garden view swim up room ( we had only booked a standard garden view room). This was a lovely surprise as well as a bottle of prosecco for us in the fridge. We have never had a swim up room before and this is something will look further into every holiday now as we loved it so much! The garden view had the sun the whole day which was lovely. We would spend most part of the day by the main pool and come back to our private one around 4pm and stay until 7pm the sunset was lovely and such warm temperatures still. Weather overall was amazing couldn't fault it - slightly windy but needed it! The first impression of the hotel was that it was ultra clean and modern. When he coach arrived at the hotel it had this very grand driveway that showed off it's modern design and swim up rooms. The design of aspects of the hotel was great. Our room was lovely with a very comfy bed - although very limited channels on the tv ( was a smart tv but barely had any functions) Pool towels were provided and changed every couple of days. Pool area was lovely never too crowded and the choice of 2 to choose from ( also one indoor we did not look at) The pool bar and it's staff were great! Slightly confused being an all-inclusive not all cocktails were included in this package you had to pay extra for ( e.g mojito which was a paid option even though one of the most popular cocktails?) Water was only provided in small cups which could of been finished in 2 gulps. Water bottles had to be purchased. My advice would be to buy one bottle and use this to be refilled up each time going to the bar so it lasts you longer. Also this means having to make sure you have water to take to your room every night as bottles in your fridge aren't provided. Food in hotel was good - standard all inclusive choice. Good salad selection. We really enjoyed the a la carte dining which included 5 courses. However here you had to pay for your drinks ( this was also confusing being an all inclusive hotel?) Evening entertainment was very poor - there was the same couple act who sung and played the piano probably about 4 times in one week - who did try their best but was more like a cruise ship holiday style act. The evening bar area I found needs a re-design, the layout is quite awkward and doesn't flow - its very narrow and almost split into 2 halves. We had not explored the beach but heard from other guests this needed a lot of work doing to it - this may have been improved by then. Location wise it's very quiet but super easy to get a busy into Kos Town which was only a few euros each and max 20 mins to get here. We loved Kos Town and had 2 meals there just to break the week up and have some variety. We found there wasn't much to do in the day time ( however we were happy sun bathing all day) or the evening apart from sitting in the bar and having drinks. We felt there needed to be more variety here. Overall we really enjoyed it here - the staff were very accommodating and the hotel itself was beautiful. Definitely recommend a swim up room and a great place if you want some chill out time and relaxing.
A new hotel that ticks all the boxes. Ten days of bliss, great staff. Excellent food each day. Entertainment most nights. Pool was cold but very inviting. Lovely modern rooms. Great bathroom with walk in shower.
Has the title says a brilliant hotel the staff cannot do enough for you very friendly and helpful rooms nice and modern cleaned every day we had a junior suite with garden view and got the sun all day from about 10-15 drinks very good and the food was good you could always find something suitable. I do not know why people moan about having to pay for drinks at the a la Carter restaurant it's only a 1off and 14 euros for a bottle of wine won't break the bank chill out and enjoy it. If you are looking for a relaxing holiday and want to laze about doing nothing with fantastic staff this is the place for you but if you are bothered about having to pay for a drink at the a la carte don't bother or it will niggle you and complain like some other moaners that have reviewed the hotel give it a go you will love it and we will definitely be coming back to this hotel in the near future, thanks Blue Lagoon Ocean for a brilliant holiday.
