Me and my best friend stayed here for a 5 night break last summer and had a great time. Just remembered to review the hotel as we’re planning to book again 😀 It’s a chilled out atmosphere, and the rooms were really modern and clean. We ate in the restaurant most nights as we were all inclusive and the food choice was fantastic, lots of variation, desserts were amazing and my friend who is veggie had good amount of choice too. We’re both in our early 30s and whilst this defs isn’t a party hotel, there were plenty of couples and friends our age and younger, so we had a good laugh. Thank you to all the staff for making our holiday a great one! Look forward to seeing you this year.
Good if you're over 40
We Stayed at the MarBella Corfu for a week in April in an all inclusive package. When we arrived we were impressed with the facilities and cleanliness of the hotel, however this soon dissipated once we began speaking to the front of house staff. They did get us to our evening meal immediately but once we returned everything went down hill. Spoken to like 2nd class clientele the staff were much more interested in serving the older clients rather than dealing with us (even though we were first). With that over with we went to our room which was lovely. The room was clean and tidy with a fantastic view of the ocean. The following day we went to breakfast, they had put on a wide range of foods, which seems great until we realised that it tasted poor. Little effort made in serving us by hotel staff and waiters. We then went to the beach, relaxed and had a swim. We then went to the beach restaurant which turned things around, the staff were attentive and the food was excellent. We then went to the Splash diner for one of our "luxurious" meals... Wow how terrible was the impression when we left, the staff completely ignored us, making us get up from our seats 3 times to order drinks, whilst at the same time an elderly couple sat 2 tables away received exceptional service. The food did make up somewhat for the meal, the ribs were fantastic as were the deserts. The steak that was ordered looked and tasted more like a beef burger pretending to be a steak. Don't go if you're under 50
I was with a friend for a short vacation and it's it was very good! The rooms are quite big, the pool is large with a sea view and the food is very good especially in the Italian restaurant! Don't forget to visit the private beach!
Simply he best
A great hotel one of the best Defoe five star. Staff very welcoming and all very happy and helpful. Wonderful grounds and gardens. Two pools one heated. All specialist restaurants excellent the food is very nicely presented
Overall very pleasant stay
We returned to Marbella for the third time in 3 years in October 2019. We were greeted well, and one of the senior staff Lucia recognised us and welcomed us back, lovely touch. First the good: this is a lovely large hotel, with kind and helpful staff, and we enjoyed food in all the restaurants. Service on the beach was good and the main bartender remembered our favourite drinks. The wine selection on all inclusive is limited. The cocktails and sparkling wine were good. Our main disappointment was as follows: On the first two occasions we were delighted with our room allocations. This time we were disappointed with the first two rooms due to noise issues: the first had a poor view but was directly beneath the bar area and foot and chair scraping noises were awful: room 303. We were moved that evening to a floor down and one across, What we didn't realise is that we would get all the noise from people trip trapping up and down the adjacent marble stairwell that ricoched into our bathroom and bedroom particularly form 7am very unwelcome. We endured it for 2 days and then moved again to a smaller garden view room with a poor view at the back of the hotel looking onto a scrubby bank with electricity pylons. It was quiet however, thankfully. We enjoyed our stay however. The room issues are making me think twice about returning, however, I am undecided. We had hoped a superior garden view would be good. It may be worth upgrading?
