Will comeback very soon just to relax or with friends, the pool and the sea shore very inviting you can walk around the resort peacefully and thanks to miss Mary Ann (front desk) for accommodating me smooth check in and check out 5 star experience ❤️
Dismal, stressful stay!
An absolute pile of junk from the onset! Concierge expected me to put my own bags in the buggy, didn’t even ask if I needed assistance with my bags! When we got to our room, it took the worker 15 minutes to place my bags outside the room, he was waiting for someone else to take my bags! WiFi did not work, took engineer over an hour of coming back and forth just to say someone will come in the morning to fix, who never came! I complained about this and someone came to the room and took another hour just to change the WiFi router. Food was mediocre at best for a 5* hotel, rooms are dark and dingy, low lighting! After about my fourth complaint the manager was kind enough to upgrade my room to a suite which was the only good thing. Family getaway for a few nights to which caused more stress that was worth! Rooms are not thoroughly cleaned or sanitised as advertised. I had an ant problem and found out there was a cupcake wrapper under the curtains which was not cleaned by house keeping. Service from some staff was very friendly but other members of staff need a crash course in hospitality. I will not be staying there again even if it was given for free!
Booked the hotel two night stay during Covid19 pandemic I must say the precautions taken by the hotel for safety of guests and employees was exceptional. On arrival myself and my wife received a room upgrade the room was exceptional very clean and comfortable and staff were excellent. Due to lockdown facilities were closed however the GM and the team had put on in room dining and BBQ to ensure your stay is special myself and my wife highly recommend the BBQ fired up on grass area outside your accommodation then cook your own food. The BBQ menus are very good.ni During the day order Grab and Go ķeither sit on beach or go for drive and have a wonderful picnic with a very tasty selection of food at very reasonable price. I would like to thank all the team for making this stay special without their exceptional and personal service the visit would not have been as good. Thank you to Mr. Vara for organising flowers 💐 for my wife's birthday and lovely cake 🎂 and bottle of wine 🍷. I am looking forward to my next stay.
Humid, moist, damp, wet and dark room
We stayed six nights in July during Corona lockdown. The hotel was almost empty. We had booked standard room and that's what we got. We had a room on ground floor in cluster 7 near the beach. At checkinn we didn't realize how humid it was, because AC was set to 18 degres, and we thought this was the reason. For six days we had a humid room, floor is with tiles and you could see the humidity on the floor. When you sit on bed and get up we had the impression we were on a wet towel. My wife had her bones aching all the time. Room is also very dark, the sun will never enter and the lights are very weak. Because of corona breakfast was room service. Quite ordinary, fresh juice only once. Coffee was good, although only luke warm on most days. And on one day they were 45 minutes late for breakfast. Housekeeping was good and personal was friendly. TV had no youtube, WiFi was good. After three days we seriously considered check out, even when we had prepayed in full. Even when government restrictions allowed opening of gym for hotel guests they didn't want to open. I guess they just wanted to save money. We know of at least 2 hotels in Salalah where gym was open. Even with Oman standards this is only a three star hotel and we would never go there again durin Khareef
