Hyggeligt ældre hotel tæt ved stranden

Dejligt stort værelse med air.com. og køleskab. Bade værelse med både kar og brus. Desværre var et af afløbene stoppet, så der stod vand på gulvet et par gange. Gode senge, god skabsplads og save-box.

Candolim

The O Hotel er et godt valg, hvis man vil bo på den mere stille sydlige del af Candolim Beach. Hotellet ligger godt i forhold til strand og restauranter. Vi havde håbet på havudsigt, fordi hotellet lå så tæt på stranden. Men der var bestemt ikke havudsigt. Vi spiste kun morgenmaden på hotellet- både frokost og middagsmad er meget meget dyrt.

4th time and still smiling

We spent three weeks there in January/ February 2020 and we were as usual very happy with the staff, food, service and surroundings. My son and his family joined us for our last week there and they too had a great time at O. Thanks go to Sid, Brian, Deeps, Bagwan and many others whos names I do not remember. At the reception in the dining hall and the lounge they were ready to help and serve with smiles and a joke on the side and inquisitive about how the day had been. And weaving himself inbetween all of them was Carmo, the chief of the hotel. Knowledgeable about Goa and always inquiring. There is work to be done to maintain the place and the new straws for the mojito in the pool bar were not good!!! Great place and we are ready for the 5th visit. Cheers.

A gem of a hotel

We stayed for 10 nights in a deluxe double on the first floor. We were greeted on arrival and guided to reception where we filled in the paperwork. As we were well before the official check in time, we had a small wait until our room was ready. The room was comfortable and had everything we needed. The wardrobe and shelves are all open and there is limited space. The staff were friendly and efficient. There is a small pool and the gardens lead directly into the beach. The hut by the pool serves drinks and snacks with specials for lunch, all brought to your sunbed or table. The pool boy brought over a head rest for the loungers and was friendly and helpful. Brian in the hut, restaurant and bad seemed to be everywhere and was friendly, efficient and good fun. The food in the restaurant was good - we had the a la carte menu a few times. When we went out for a meal or a walk we were always greeted on our return by the security staff (the casino is at the front of the property so you pass through that to get into the hotel. We enjoyed our stay and will happily return some time.

'O' 3rd time not last

Having spent another 2weeks here, people should realise this is India, a fantastic hotel with staff so pleased to help you. From the waiters at breakfast explaining all the different Indian foods to you and what region it comes from, to the bar staff, Thanks to Sid, Brian, and the kid on the block Veyon, just a fantastic team, always happy with huge smiles there faces and absolutely make this such a home from home. The cleaning of rooms still gets later every day you stay, which needs to be looked at, when you come back to your room at 5.00 pm and still not done this is not good enough!!! The general manager seemed to stroll around with a big grin on his face, until a party of 30 Indian guests turned, then he decided to totally ignore the U.K. Visitors whom had put a lot of money into the hotel, which is not acceptable. I did ask for the owner of the hotels email address which was not given to me, Apart from that will be back again next year. Also Bagwan the pool man who is such a placid nice man with a heart of gold
