My (horror)story Hotel Tejo

Let’s start with the positive stuff, the location. Then let’s find out what can be experienced. Me and my fiancé were in the unfortunate position to book a stay at the My story Hotel Tejo for four nights last week. Rest assure, this was NOT the story we were expecting to tell our friends and colleagues. We had the very unpleasant task of using two of our four days of stay trying to get the hotel staff to fix the mold infested shower (!). While I was trying to coordinate their staff to fix this issue, my pregnant fiancé had to use the shower which is not a hygenically not an OK situation. A total of four individual complaints was needed to get things fixed, and we were then left with a last little «gift» in the form of an uncleaned bathroom with all the «clean up tools», dirty rags and pieces of mold infested silicone scrapings at the floor (see attached photos). At this point I totally gave up on the service (even though we were invited to change rooms at 10 PM on the second last night. The room also gave us a «spectacular view» straight on to a construction yard, 7 meters from our balcony. Paying many hundres of euros for our booking was a disaster. Don’t expect any easy fix if something is wrong with your stay.

Couples short break to Lisbon

The location is excellent. The hotel and room were spotless and decorated to a lovely standard. The breakfast was delicious. The hotel receptionists were very helpful when we asked advice. We bought tickets for 6 Euros each and used the tram and metro/trains to get around. We found a gorgeous beach just a 30 minute train ride and saw all the sights in a couple of days easily. The hotel is surrounding by shops, culture , places to eat and drink. There is a super market next door. The hotel across the road offers 15 percent off food as a sister hotel which was also really nice and reasonably priced. There really is not anything to dislike.

CITY SURPRISE

Boutique hotel conveniently situated. Beware the coffee capsules and milk are complementary for the first night only!!! You can purchase additional ones at reception for €1.00 each. This is a first for us in our travels across Europe ( and the world).Magnanimously they will throw in milk capsules and disposable cups.

Fabulous hotel and staff. Ideal location

Stunning hotel set in an older building, but modernised throughout. Superb air conditioner and Rituals shower gel. Plenty on offer for breakfast - continental as well as hot buffet. The staff are incredibly welcoming and helpful and nothing is too much trouble. Without prompt, they had arranged for a bottle of fizz and birthday cakes/macaroons on my birthday which was such a considerate touch. Location is fantastic - the old town is within walking distance yet the hotel is in a quieter spot. An absolute must if you are staying in Lisbon. Would highly recommend.

Absolutely loved this hotel

We stayed here for 5 nights and absolutely loved our stay at this hotel !! The location is fantastic and the exterior and interior especially the rooms were just lovely! The room facilities were great the bespoke furniture was very stylish and the air con was working
