Το ανακαινισμένο Thalassa Cape Hotel είναι ουσιαστικά εντός της Χώρας, έχει ένα απίθανο beach bar και η εξυπηρέτηση όλων των ανθρώπων του ξενοδοχείου είναι πάνω από τα φυσιολογικά όρια με αποκορύφωμα την εξυπηρέτηση από τη reception η οποία με την καθοδήγηση της Γεωργίας προσφέρει στον επισκέπτη πληροφορίες που κάνουν τη διαμονή του τέλεια!

Vacanza a Skiathos

Abbiamo soggiornato al Thalassa fine luglio inizio agosto, per una bella vacanza a Skiathos, che dire nel complesso una buona struttura vicino al MARE ( BELLO) con una bella piscina e un lido a pagamento, punta di forza la colazione ottima e abbondante, tutti i ragazzi dal bar alla reception al lido tutti gentili e disponibili, soprattutto le ragazze della reception, struttura situata in una zona meno movimentata del centro ma poco distante. Ottimo il ristorante abbiamo cenato più volte tutto buono, se proprio devo trovare un punto da migliorare il bagno può essere più spazioso con qualche prodotto in più, nel complesso lo consiglio, sicuramente torneremo speriamo presto

Rude staff

Aesthetically the hotel is okay, I wouldn’t rate it a 4 star. What lets the hotel down is the staff, there is an abundance of them walking around on their phones. Every time at breakfast you would be sitting there waiting however long for someone to bother and come up to take a coffee or tea order. On our last day, we sat down to kill time and my husband asked for a menu and the waitress rudely snapped asking well what menu do you want a drinks menu or food aggresively. I understand it’s a hard working season but a smile and kindness goes a long way.

Disappointed

I was a bit disappointed with this hotel for the following reasons: Poor breakfast - warm orange which was watered down cordial, warm water, toaster that only toasts one side of bread, food is lukewarm. Room - paid extra for a limited sea view and a larger room. Room was small so I wouldn’t like to see the smaller rooms, tiny balcony although the view was very good (room 302) lots of imperfections in the decor such as holes in the ceiling where the light fitting has been moved, a couple of days the sheets were left folded at the bottom of the bed so I had to make the bed, mini bar wasn’t restocked once in a week, bathroom smelt of cats wee, around the sink wasn’t cleaned once, the maid came to do the room at 3pm one day and we were getting ready so I asked her if she could come back after 3.30pm and subsequently the room wasn’t cleaned/made up. Pool area - very small and not enough beds. Not enough beds on the beach either and very packed in like sardines. Air con - none of the communal areas such as reception, breakfast room, was properly air conditioned. Pool towels - only allowed one per person but due to the heat you needed 2 on each sunbed. Why so mean with the towels. There were a few redeeming features : lovely restaurant setting, beach was lovely with clear sea, close walk to town (approx 10 mins) food at night in the restaurant was nice. Air con in room was good. Staff were mostly nice. Also if you’re flying with TUI be prepared to be parted from your cases. Our flight was 13:45 and on the morning we were leaving there was a notice to leave cases for the luggage truck for 8.30am. This sign wasn’t displayed the night before so we only saw this sign after 8.30 - this added unnecessary stress. Also when you get to the airport the cases(that have been collected approx 2 hours before you) are left unattended outside the airport - not very safe or secure in my opinion. Not a four star in my opinion and I would not return to this hotel. Another point to note unrelated to the hotel. Our luggage (3 cases) all weighed at least 1kg per suitcase more at Skiathos airport than in Manchester. We had not bought anything and toiletries etc. had been used so they should have weighed less. The airport wanted to charge us for excess luggage but luckily we were able to transfer to hand luggage. The only explanation for ‘ heavier’ cases is that the scales are inaccurate at Skiathos airport! Beware!

Best place we’ve been!

We had such a great stay here with Thalassa Cape, through TUI. The staff, were so kind and welcoming. I particularly want to mention the lovely receptionist who went out of her way to help us, plan our boat trip, gave us all the best recommendations for beaches, and helped us at every turn. We really appreciated her help and had a better time for it. The staff in the restaurant are lovely and helpful, always making us laugh. Mike and Anastasia were fantastic on the beach too. The room we had was large, and cleaned every day with fresh towels. We do wish there was a full length mirror though! The DJ in the restaurant, Jacob, was BRILL. We loved him. The pool is nice but fills up early, we preferred the beach because we got the staff along with it and the attentiveness. It is only 15 mins from town, we found it easy to walk and tonnes of lovely Greek kitties to see on the way. The half board was great, breakfast easy and nice, the dinner we liked but would’ve preferred a different menu some nights as we felt limited sometimes, but delicious nevertheless. No drinks were included on half board either, which is fair. Overall, we loved it. They go out of their way to make you feel comfortable and prepared to explore Skiathos. A must go to for us would be the Mamma Mia Cinema if you are a fan, we had the best time, and Big Banana beach at Elivi. So beautiful. Thank you ALL. 🩵🇬🇷
