Horrendous management & room experience

The worst hotel ever stayed in. On looking, it looks like a beautiful hotel, can’t fault the bar staff, the food or the pool. But what let’s it down is the management team, maintenance team and the room. First night, the safe was broke. Each day it was brought to the attention and the receptionist would repeatedly say ‘tomorrow, it will be fine’. Valuables were left with no security for the week I was there. No sense of guest welfare at all was received. The noise behind my room was horrendous, couldn’t sleep at all throughout the night, the noise sounded like a huge generator. When paying over 1k to stay, you do not expect this sort of thing for a room. I put this to reception and the excuse was, we are fully booked. Why sell a room if this is what the customer is to receive? I came away on holiday to relax for my close friends wedding, instead I spent no time in the room because of the noise & couldn’t sleep whatsoever throughout the whole duration. Like I said to Beatrice, would you stay in a hotel where you couldn’t sleep? Still awaiting a reply. Absolutely abysmal and on speaking to the so called manager who isn’t actually the manager , ‘Beatrice’ is her name. Rude & obnoxious, no sense of sympathy whatsoever. If someone has at least apologised and acted sincere then I wouldn’t have had to write this review as it’s not in my nature to do so. However I have never experienced anything like it. To say that all your guests experience a good satisfactory time is rubbish as well. At reception at the time yesterday I was checking our, 6 people were turned away as they said they were fully booked even though they had confirmation of booking. A lady got in the same taxi as myself who also reported that because they had booked a package holiday on another website, not direct, was turned away as they were again fully booked. Why take bookings if you don’t have the capacity to fit them into a room? I wouldn’t say that this is satisfaction from every customer would you Beatrice? Personally, the attitude from the management team lets the hotel down, could learn a few things from the bar staff. Couldn’t fault them and would do anything for them. It’s a shame because other peoples photos look amazing, however this is certainly not what I had received and experienced. I wouldn’t dream of recommending this hotel or even return. You put Santorini to shame considering it’s a spectacular island. Very disappointed and very upset

Not a family hotel

Just arrived back after a week, family of 4 with one aged 5 years old and a 7month old baby , all I can say is this is not a family hotel ! They don’t have a child’s menu at the hotel this was taken off after we had booked to our disappointment and to make things worse our baby wasn’t aloud to eat baby food around the pool , also water we had purchased from supermarket and snacks you weren’t aloud. All spa facilities were closed. Staff watched me blow up lilo and beachball and were told you are unable to use them around the pool. We purchased a small tennis ball sized football and were told off again about using this. Prices around the pools are shocking , costing €8 euro for a bowl of chips and €10 euro for a pint and $12 euro for cocktails. The room we were given had no phone signal or WiFi and we had the noise of a generator and planes landing all day, spoke at reception to change rooms/complain but were told they had no alternative rooms, plenty of guests arriving at this hotel who had booked were told this hotel was fully booked so were sent elsewhere so if you have booked you might get lucky and moved elsewhere. The problem with the hotel is the location literally nothing to do, they don’t have any footpaths from the hotel into Kamari and I wouldn’t risk the 25-30min walk due to peoples driving over there and the uneven road surfaces. But getting a taxi anywhere is really expensive so be prepared. Good luck trying to get a sun bed on a morning as we found people leaving towels on from 6 am to reserve them, some of the sun beds cost $40 to hire for the day ! If you have a young family I would definitely recommend staying in Kamari but again pushchair facilities are poor all around the island. Just to top it off we were delayed flying out and coming back with jet2 , also the air con in airport doesn’t work and we had a baggage delay so a nice relaxing family holiday turned into a stressful expensive experience.

Lovely stay

Lovely hotel ideal spot if you don't want to travel far from airport as it is right next to the runway. That all being said you don't really.get.bothered by the aircraft.and it becomes a novelty to sit at the bar watching them land and take off. The hotel itself is stunning lovely staff rooms are.fantastic we stayed in a deluxe room which was large and had good air con. Would highly.recommend the hotel. We.l9ve to.walk and its only.30.mins walk to kremasti which is a lovely resort. We really enjoyed our time at the hotel.

Wow - Please visit!

What can I say, from start to finish, this place treated us like royalty. The staff are brilliant, the cleanliness of the hotel is something I’ve never seen before, the location was perfect for us. All in all, a truly wonderful holiday. We can’t fault a single thing about this holiday. The vibe of the hotel and the vibe of the staff is something else. We made some great friends from the bar/pool staff who made us feel at home at all times. Thank you imperial Med hotel for making our ‘engagement moon’ extra special. I could go on and on about the hotel and their staff but I would be here for hours. This hotel and island is a must see! Love to you all! Hollie and George xxx

WHAT AN AMAZING HOTEL !!!

WOW - pretty much sums this place up I booked this hotel as a suprise for my wifes 30th Nothing here is too much trouble and the staff bend over backwards to make it a holiday to remember Very tranquil atmosphere and a total relaxing holiday from start to finish I would like to give a massive thankyou to Beatrice for helping me arrange everything for my wife prior to our arrival Champagne in the room on arrival Champagne breakfast following morning for birthday Double sunlounger with prosecco and fruit bowl Everything arranged with Beatrice a truly amazing woman and extremely good at her job everything was seamless and run to perfection We shall 100% return here again
