Fly 5-8 i timen max 100 m over dig, i perioden fra 06:00 til 02:00 - ca. 20 timer - støjniveau 100-120 db, ingen ro - vækkes flere gange om natten, og ret forstyrrende i løbet af dagen. Lugten af flybrændstof og brændt gummi (når flyene lander, laver den en burner). Sødt personale, ok værelser, super rent - men fly skaber bare en uro igennem hele dagen/natten, synd at ratingen går ud over hotellet.

Lovely hotel in a great location but be aware of aircraft noise

I debated about giving this hotel 4 stars as the aircraft noise is really rather loud as the planes fly very low being so close to the airport but decided to go with 5 stars as the hotel itself is great. - HOTEL - Lovely, clean hotel with all the usual amenities: choice of many pools, well priced bar, decent breakfast, spa, gym (small but has the main things you'd need for a decent workout - treadmill, bike, cross trainer, smiths machine, cable pulls and free weights). Hotel is direct on the beach (one of the two black beached of Santorini) - ROOM - We had a sea facing room which was a decent size with a (small) pool. included fridge, tea/coffee making facilities, robe, slippers, sun loungers - TAXI - taxis were expensive given airport is only 10 mins away. Cost us 30E from airport to hotel and 35 from hotel to airport (private hire not via hotel). Tap water is not drinkable, hotel provides a free water bottle on day 1 only. - BUSES - I would recommend getting to places like Fira & Oia by bus, it is VERY EASY, VERY CHEAP & very comfortable! Simply ask the hotel concierge for the bus timetable and location of the bus stop (warning: bus stop is further up than shown on the hotel map, it's past the pharmacy on the corner on the right. Ask the shop keepers they'll let you know. It costs 1.60 Euros per person per journey. For Oia, take a bus to Fira (15 mins) and then change for bus to Oia (about 25 mins). Buses are clearly marked. - LOCATION - Hotel is situated in a fabulous location. There are many great bars and restaurants to choose from. There are ATMs and supermarkets close by too. - SIGHTSEEING - I would recommend doing Oia during the day as it is less busy. A lot of the cruise ships and tours aim to visit Oia for sunset making it very busy. If you want to see a Santorini sunset, I would recommend going to Fira, which is on the same side of the island as Oia and has a similar setting to Oia and a lot less busy. We stayed 3 nights mid-Oct and had a couple of very windy days which made it feel colder than what it was, would recommend taking layers. as when the wind drops, it's lovely and warm! I would stay here again.

The most beautiful place I've ever been

Stayed here for 7 nights. Definitely the best hotel in Kamari at the end of a strip of restaurants and bars along the sea front. Staff impeccable rooms amazing especially sea facing ones. Pools great. I truly can't fault this place I'm any way. So 5 star. Already booked again for next year never done that before. Planes land above you as close to airport maybe a dozen times a day but honestky it doesn't affect your break its actually exciting occasionally. Must go to Oia at least once while there. Taxi 40 euro. The caldera is amazing to look at

Birthday celebration

My girlfriends and I had a blast. This resort was spotless. We were unfazed by the planes. I would highly recommend seeking advice from Georgia for all your excursion needs. She was so sweet and all her recommendations were A1. Bravo Costa Grand

Love it!

We have loved staying here this week. The staff are excellent. Extremely friendly and attentive. I contacted the hotel 2 weeks before arrival asking about gluten free. Not only did I get a very quick response, but it had been noted on my reservation and was mentioned at check in. 😁. The restaurant staff were aware of it, and the chef came out every evening to tell my daughter what she could and couldn’t eat. They were all so proactive🥰. Everywhere was extremely clean, and rooms were serviced very quickly during the morning. Food was good and plentiful. The only down side is the hotels location under the flight path for final approach to the airport. However this is not Heathrow! Maybe 2 flights per hour maximum, and we actually enjoyed watching the aircraft come in, watching them approach on flight radar24. The noise lasts approx 10 seconds. They are about 150 feet above us at this point (not 40 feet as a previous reviewer stated🙄). Would we come back? Absolutely and stay longer! Many hotels could learn from the staff here!
