Dyr halvpension ift. prisen
Prisen var næsten 30.000 kr. for to voksne og to børn i 10 dage (højsæson).
Stayed at this hotel for a week. Everything was great!. We booked a superior room looking at the pool. The staff at the reception was so helpful with everything we needed. Breakfast had many options and was very nice. The dinner was served at the beach restaurant, excellent quality every day and great service! Overall, it was an amazing stay thanks to the staff. We will definetely be back!
A good hotel in need of some improvement
This hotel is a good hotel but it could be so much better than it is. Hence this review is meant as constructive criticism. The hotel appears to be split into two - the new and the old. The older part overlooks the central pool area where there is the breakfast restaurant and the pool bar. It is a very pleasant area. We stayed in the older part and the bedrooms are in need of refurbishment - particularly the bathroom which is very dated. However the bedroom was very clean. The newer section is further towards the beach and the bedrooms appear to be very modern but they lack the views that the older rooms have. The reception area at the back of the hotel where everyone checks in is quite old fashioned with sofas and what looks like office chairs. First impressions are therefore not that good. However the reception staff were very friendly. In complete contrast the beach side entrance is stunning with beautiful furniture and an upmarket bar. Right next to the beach is a beautiful restaurant serving lunch and dinner. The food was very good but the service was quite slow. The pool bar was superbly well run with particular mention for the girl working there who did everything she could to serve guests quickly and very efficiently. She had huge respect for Covid and wore a mask when serving guests. The guy working there was good too. Breakfast items were in plentiful supply although buffet items were not that warm. The items were constantly replenished but quite surprisingly most staff (apart from the main chef) had their masks under their chins whereas without exception all hotel guests wore masks properly. The sanitising machine on entry to the restaurant was empty during our entire stay. With some changes this hotel could be hugely improved. It has everything going for it. It is very clean throughout, the staff are very nice, the layout is excellent, the pool area is very appealing, the location in Kamari is superb but lack of attention to detail in some areas and modernisation in the older section of the hotel lets this hotel down. That said, I would still give it a 4 star Trip Advisor Rating
Great affordable option for an expensive island
Staff was extremely helpful with arranging sunset boat cruise and rental jeep. The beach location is excellent - no extra charges for sunbeds. Waiter service on the beach was great. Pool view room with balcony was very nice and clean. There was a large selection of food at the breakfast buffet.
Location, Location, Location!
I really loved staying in Kamari vs. the traditional stay in Oia. The facilities were very nice - especially the pool and beach. The pool bar was over priced, but that is to be expected. The rooms left little for your imagination. The shower was nearly unusable. Staff was moderately friendly. Spa was lovely and hidden - I would try it! I would stay in Kamari again, but might explore another hotel.
