Dyr halvpension ift. prisen
Prisen var næsten 30.000 kr. for to voksne og to børn i 10 dage (højsæson).
Average
The location right on the private beach was the best. Comfortable room but small. Pretty nice breakfast. The indoor pool was full of people all the time.. don't know why if it has its own beach.. Everything is right along the boardwalk. Kamari is so nice. Not sure If it is this hotel was the best option.. but I just used it to rest
Perfect Hotel for Couple Getaway
Lovely hotel right on the beachfront! Access to the beach straight across the road with free sun loungers for hotel guests and waiter service on the beach. Only slight negative is not allowed to take own drinks to the beach. Rooms were very spacious really clean, all staff were really helpful and the hotel is modern and really well designed. Few small pools around the hotel which is great if available but can get quite busy and the main pool isn’t very big so always very busy early on. Breakfast was really nice, maybe could’ve had more variations daily but it’s slightly off season when we went so might be different during the summer. Great price for the facilities, definitely one of the best looking hotels on the beachfront! Would definitely recommend getting up for sunrise on the beach as it’s completely unreal!
Nice basic hotel
This hotel is a perfect base in Kamari. The beach right on your doorstep and near the shops and restaurants. The room we stayed in 713 was small with very small balcony. View was mainly the other apartments around the pool. It was above the bar pool breakfast restaurant which was noisy from 7am. The room was cleaned every day and given fresh towels. The main pool is small. There was another very small pool away from the main area but it was shaded all day. The Spa cost €15 a day with just a jacuzzi and sauna. Treatments available. The breakfast was included and the food was delicious and fresh. The staff were great. The only downside was our room was so small with nowhere to sit during the day , the balcony was tiny with small table, had a very pretty vine growing around it but left it so shaded and our view was of people on next balcony. The restaurant at night was slow service. Not cheap . The wine is measured, and is €9 for small glass. All in all it's a nice place for a short break.
Could Do Better
It was our first time to Santorini and as we booked quite late didn’t have a great many hotels to choose from but chose the Afroditi due to its location which was great. The hotel was ok not as friendly as others we’ve stayed in when in other parts of Greece and our room which was 602 was very basic. No draws for clothes, no chair to sit on, no cups even though there was a kettle and very thin non black out curtains which obviously didn’t block any light out in the mornings. The other thing that was very disappointing was the amount of tables around the pool for breakfast if you got there between 7-7.30 you would be lucky enough to sit outside if not then you would be seated in what I can only describe as a canteen and not an inviting one at that. Also at breakfast the coffee machine was broken for the duration of our stay so we had to join a never ending queue at the pool bar where one poor guy was making coffee for everyone. I’d recommend Kamari as a resort to stay in but not the Afroditi. The points that I’ve mentioned previously would not stop me staying there again but the issue I’ve had with trying to retrieve an item that was left behind in our room after check out has been nothing short of appalling. I’ve emailed on several occasions regarding a plug that was left behind, given the exact location of the item which was 100% unfortunately left behind by the kettle without any cups and surprise surprise nothing has been found?? Things just don’t disappear into thin air as soon as you leave. The Afroditi obviously care if you have any issues after checkout. My advice would be to throughly check your room before you leave as if you leave anything you won’t get it back.
